Lumber Liquidators - complete flooring failure

I purchased hardwood flooring from Lumber Liquidators and also had them do the installation work for our home. I worked directly with the General Manager of store 014 to purchase install and also finance through Lumber Liquidators. The flooring was installed after the required acclimated period directed by the General Manager of LL. Shortly after install gapping occurred everywhere. I immediately contacted the installation manager and the General Manager and they stated that they would need to turn it over to customer service. After placing a number of calls and emails requesting status of the problem, I had a lady contact me from customer service two months later. She asked a few questions and said that someone would get back with me. I received a letter a month later stating that the gapping was my fault due to environmental conditions and that there would be no further action unless I hired an NWFA certified inspector at the cost of $700.00. We hired and paid for this inspector, and the inspection report definitively detailed how the flooring was installed incorrectly. Furthermore the NWFA inspector referenced the Lumber Liquidators installation guideline detailed in their installation requirements section of their website which clearly shows that these requirements were not followed.

This report was sent to Lumber Liquidators with a request to respond to this complaint. They have not responded to this claim nor have they provided any type of response to rectifying this situation. In addition to the material and installation cost outlay, there has been hours and hours of lost time trying to work through this ongoing problem.

At this point in time I believe that the only recourse is to file a lawsuit claiming damages and to have the flooring removed and disposed.
