Lowe's - Online order/pickup a disaster

Since my husband and I live two hours from anywhere, to include a Lowe's store, we went online to order all the necessary items for a bathroom remodel. This order #[protected] was placed on July 8, 2021. We wanted all items to be picked up at a specific location convenient to us. Nearly all items were listed as in stock with a few exceptions. We originally wanted the order to be delivered to our home, but no store would deliver out this far. (And this was yet another issue. The website never indicated delivery was not available. On the contrary, it gave us a $79 delivery charge but then kept giving error messages and wouldn't let us submit the order. Customer Care had to be called and they finally figured out we were too far out for delivery. Should have spelled that out on the website!) Once we placed the order, we received an order confirmation with several different pickup dates. After calling the selected store (Wheatlands Parkway in Aurora, Colorado) I spoke with Andrea, who very kindly offered to hold the entire order until everything arrived, thus helping us make only one trip. Unfortunately, as items arrived, some went to the selected store, while others were showing up at two other stores. Upon calling those stores, I was told there was nothing they could do to get the products to the selected store on Wheatlands Pkwy. One associate indicated it shouldn't be a big deal since their store was only 15 minutes away from the Wheatlands store. As previously stated, we don't live anywhere near a Lowe's and are not comfortable driving to different locations in a city we are not familiar with. I called the Customer Care number on the Lowe's "contact us" page and a representative named Valerie helped cancel items at one store, while stating she would have another store ship their item to the Wheatlands store, as this was a large and expensive item (shower door). I again contacted the Wheatlands location and Andrea was informed that the shower door would be coming from the other store. In the meantime, we received an email stating another large item would be delayed and would not be ready for pickup until the 19th. On the 13th, we received several emails stating the items we ordered would be returned if we did not pick them up by the end of that day. I called the store the next morning and asked them not to return the items as we would come get them the next day. On the 15th of July (yesterday) I made the 2 hour drive to the Lowe's in Aurora and picked up all items that were there. The much anticipated shower door was not there and, after looking it up, it appeared to still be at the original store (South Buckley Road). It was never going to be sent to our chosen store. I have now had to make a new order for items that we could not get and will be making another two hour trip to pick those items up when, and if, they actually show up at our chosen location. Except for the help of Andrea at the Wheatlands Pkwy location, this entire process was a huge frustrating nightmare and I will not be recommending Lowe's online ordering to anyone.

Desired outcome: For future customers, I would strongly recommend the Lowe's system be revamped so that, when a particular store location is chosen for pickup, the items actually go to that store.
