I worked for Liberty Mutual for 8 1/2 years as a CSR. I have always spoke highly about Liberty Mutual. I guess I never knew that they were nice so long as they were getting money from me monthly and annually but now that I need them for my 1 homeowner claim they are coming up with all kind of lame excuses why they can cover my loss. I had a hot water line break under my kitchen sink on 12/20/20 so I called my Warranty Company American Home Shield who took 4 days to come out and fix the leak. I then signed up for Home Advisors who sent a Plumber out to replace the pipeline that broke and tear out the cabinet and replace it but they discovered that the leak was worse than it looked so I call Liberty Mutual / Safeco to get them involved to assist. First it was covered. Then its not coved. Then they offer me $2, 200 of visible coverage and told me to find a contractor and if any unseen damage the contractor would have to let them know. Then they call and took that back and apologize in a fake manor to advise me that the claims is not covered. So, again I have paid Liberty Mutual faithfully for Auto / Homeowners Insurance and when I need them they could care less. Oh they will try to pretend that they are so sorry but they don't write the policy and they can tell be that I had an ongoing leak when I know that they are not telling the truth! They don't live in this house they can't tell me what is going on in my house. There are no kids here just my husband and myself so we know there is no funny business going on. But all this to say now I have to find a new Insurance company for my auto and home. But they are crooks. This world is crooked! Who can you trust! Better off insuring myself being that our home is paid for. claim # [protected]
Desired outcome: Loss not covered
Here's one answer- they could spend a LOT less than the $MILLIONS spent on stupid TV commercials, extolling their company "virtues" and feeding the Limu the emu, use the savings to actually pay legitimate claims, and spend more on actual human customer service in the US.
