I always shop and spend a lot at Urban Planet Oshawa Centre Location. Ontario. Canada. I like the styles of their clothes but have a very poor policy in exchange.
I bought a cardigan shirt worth 10.29 in total.
including tax.
However it doesn't fit me so I'm thinking of exchanging it, but unfortunately I misplaced the receipt, but the cardigan shirt has still the price tag on and never worn, but before I decide to have it exchange I called the store and spoke with the store manager first, to asked and confirm if it's okay to exchange it without a receipt, store manager said YES it is OKAY but the price might change if the item is currently on sale, so I think that's okay because, what will I do with this if it doesn't fit me. When I get to the store the cashier is very rude, she said because I don't have the receipt, they will have to price it as "Yesterday sale, " which means much lower price so from 10.29 original price, she price it as $3. She only wants to give me an exchange worth of $3, I said this isn't right, why would she have to price it as yesterday sale, manager said the price will be the current sale price, which is the same as what it is on the tag, it wasn't on sale.. but the cashier is so rude and being such a [censored]. So I didn't want to argue, and In the end I still have to add more money just to have it exchange, even though the price of the new item in exchange of the old is only worth $5, she charged me $2.50 more with GST and HST. I checked some of the receipts that I have from Urban Planet, some of my receipt doesn't have a charge of GST but this time they want to charge me more so she charged me GST and HST...
I know it's only small amount of money, but the point is they are very inconsistent and inconsiderate.
Sure they will sell it again to an original price of $10.29...which is on current display.
What a rip off! I would never ever go back to this store again! I would not recommend this to any of my friends, colleagues and family.
