I ordered a scooter "Gusto" from this company online in December 2009. It cost $4, 000, and didn't arrive for weeks. When I finally called I was told Planet Mobility no longer sold this product and so I chose a new scooter. It arrived in February and worked well for a couple of months, but gradually became weaker and weaker, until it can no longer go a half-mile without recharging. Planet Mobility claimed it had a range of 19 miles on a single charge!

This company is so frustrating to deal with. Apparently it is run by just two people, a man named Mike and a woman. They don't return calls and don't keep promises. The scooter I bought was $1, 400 less than what I had paid and I asked for a refund in January; it still hasn't come. Now I have a non-functioning $2, 600 scooter. Mike gave me a contact for repairs but insisted I had to pay for them; the company charges $124 an hour just to come out. He has promised new batteries and a charger, but they never arrived.

I don't know what to do. This company scams handicapped people. I will probably try to file some kind of complaint with the State of Mississippi and the Better Business Bureau. I live in Maryland and don't know how to sue from here.

Please, PLEASE, don't do business with this company.
