Re: Faulty lines (8 days still not repaired)
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am addressing this letter to you of my deepest concerns with regards to the business lines which since reporting it on 10 November 2016, are still faulty.
Sterned efforts have been made in contacting Telkom customer care centre on a regular basis, to enquire on the progress of the repairs.
The turnaround time for business line faults is 48 hours, but it has been 8 days.
Today Telkom informed us that they have managed to ascertain where the fault is, and it is a cable fault, and have handed the fault now to the cabling department, we spoke to “Qamkhela” who was also speaking to Amanda her supervisor at customer services today, 17 November 2016, and Amanda informed us that the commitment date for the repair will be on 23 November 2016, due to high volume of repairs due to the storm.
This is unacceptable, in our business we rely on telephonic communication, and with no phones we are unable to get any inquiries, with no phones we have no orders and losing turnover.
I will be contacting our legal adviser to recover our losses from Telkom, when we reported the fault, up to the date that the fault is repaired.
I do not take this very lightly, as Telkom has put me in a very awkward position where I will have to also start paying off staff, due to due turnover loss.
Telkom has made no effort to communicate with its clients to ensure that they are working on the problem, and efforts are made to ensure that especially businesses are up and running within the 48hour downtime period.
Your urgent co-operation and feedback is highly appreciated.
