I participated in a 90 minute survey through Toluna that promised to pay 90, 000 points, the equivalent of $30.00.

I followed all of the directions, arriving on the site early to insure I could connect to the live chat room and everything functioned correctly.

I was an active participant all the way through. At the very end, with about two questions remaining, the chat room froze. I still had connectivity as I was able to access other sites, so the issue was on Toluna's end.

The room reconnected a few minutes later, and I received the message thanking me for my participation. I took a screenshot of the the room and message to prove I had been active for the duration of the live survey, and submitted a help desk ticket including the image.

I checked the ticket every few days, and even posted updates to it several times. Twenty days passed with no response, so I posted to Toluna's Facebook page. They removed my post and responded by telling me to contact the help desk.

I informed them I had already done so, and they did manage to get someone to reply that day - but the answer was to deny my points. They said since I did not complete the survey they could not pay me.

Something is wrong when you give an hour and a half of your time only to be told you will not be paid anything. I posted again to Toluna's Facebook page, and in turn one or two others posted as well that they were having problems.

Toluna's solution was to remove all of our posts and to block me from posting anything further to their Facebook page. They keep company email addresses very well hidden from public, but I did manage to find a fax number to their Wisconsin office. I also found their CEO, Mr. Lowell Ricklef, on Facebook. Two messages to him have netted no response to date.

As far as I know I have not had an issue with Toluna before, but then again I did not keep track of the nickle and dime surveys. However, 90 minutes is a significant amount of time, and the promised $30 (90, 000 points) is not asking too much for the time I gave in participating in their live survey.

FYI: When I filed a complaint on Toluna with the Dallas Better Business Bureau, it was not surprising to find they have an "F" rating.

On 3/1/2023 I redeemed 30,000 points for a Gap gift card that has still not been received. When I contact Toluna, they tell me to check my spam folder (which I have) and say that it has been sent. I check my email daily and it has not been received. I feel as if this is a scam and will not continue to participate in their surveys if it is.

I keep getting error messages with repeated failures. I keep trying and continually get this and would like to know why. Also you get no real response from Toluna when you contact them. I think they try to keep the money you have earned and will not pay out.

Toluna seem to be letting down their global supply of survey takers. They are obviously data mining people and using them for surveys, then finding ways of not rewarding them for their time. This seems to be happening in the Uk and USA and many other European survey sites owned by IWTP (Toluna) sites. They seem to have a scam going whereby they close people's accounts when they are due a reward, or they have run out of e-vouchers (I mean how stupid do they hope we are)? and getting a load of new people to take surveys for free, before they too are duped. No wonder they are looking to dupe Israel and Asia Pacific next. People should not waste their time and avoid Toluna and Harris survey sites, which they also own.

I used Toluna and I have to say its so slow. After struggling, I found another website similar and got right on. Luckily, I have over $600 and ihad no regrets at all. Just easy polls, answering question was all I had to do. Comparing both I was amazed of how much I made. Try it and good luck :D http://www.prizerebel.com/index.php?r=freestufftoday

Does not pay, only gives excuses. I have been trying to get paid for months and only get excuses and promises--when I get anything at all. Finally they gave me a code to claim my earnings and it's not valid.

FAILURE BY TOLUNA TO AWARD EARNED POINTS AND DISREGARDING JUSTIFIABLE COMPLAINTS! TOLUNA IS ANOTHER ONLINE SCAM! THEY SHOULD BE PROSECUTED AND FINED BY THE AG'S OF APPPOPRIATE STATES SAND CITIES!

Kindly expain to me as to why I had to complete several surveys to the very end, and then was disqualifies at the END from receiving any points at all?. My time and efforts were waisted, however, your enterprise did receive your monetary benefits!

These type of surveys are extrememy misleading and harass your participants; I am one of those having been affected quite a number of times! I have written to you and your response has been TOTALLY UNSATISFACTORY! You must be making money on these responses otherwise you would not be in business!

THIS IS A MONEY MAKING VENTURE FOR YOU, OF WHICH I AM CERTAIN. THEREFORE, YOU NEED TO SHARE YOUR GOOD FORTUNE WITH YOUR GUESTS, CUSTOMERS, AND PARTICIPANTS!

Your current system of awarding points is much too high in order to reach a single award of some 60, 000 points. It is totally insane and unreasonable! You are intimidating and coercing people into taking these surveys for ONLY your sole benefit and no one elses!

It is time to become realisitc and start playing by fair rules!

Thank you!

P.S. Please respond to my complaint on a timely basis and award me my 'disqualified/lost' points!

I filled in 7/8 of many surveys before being 'frozen out.' I object to giving quite comprehensive personal information and my views only to be felled at the final hurdle and receiving nothing for my trouble, therefore I canceled my account with Toluna.

I have just had a look at BBB and it says that Greenfield Online, the parent of Toluna, is rated A+. So help me here. Is Toluna worse than its parent?
