Thrifty Rent A Car - official complaint about services, professionalism and lack of help from staff

My wife and I prepaid for a Thrifty Rental Car for our 30th Anniversary at the Thrifty not far from Denver International Airport. We paid, and had the confirmation number. All was good. However, when we showed up at the Customer Counter, instead of getting a car, we were told we had to put an additional deposit of $200 and an extra $75 for the toll roads from Denver to Breckenridge. We asked if they took cash, was told no. We asked if they would take a credit card over the phone, no. No one was helpful or flexible. We ended up having to go back to the airport, and pay $150 for a shuttle to Breckenridge, getting there about 3 hours later. When we left Breckenridge, we had to pay an additional $120 for another shuttle ride. We had planned on traveling by Thrifty Rental Car to other cities in celebration of our 30 years, but were forced to walk everywhere without transportation. In addition, there were no Toll Roads between Denver and Breckenridge.
To make me happy, I would like my $270 back that I had to spend. There was absolutely no mention of additional fees and that needs to be ADDRESSED...Mike Shepherd [protected]
