The following website https://thegeorgiagazette.com/ scans mugshot photos from local jails that are posted for short term. The they post them forever on their site. In turn its on Google search forever as well linking to their website. It's for all arrest no matter of people was guilty or not and minor charges etc. They also doctor the frame of the picture up with blue lights. It's purely done for them to profit off advertisements on their website. This could cause people to lose jobs. They also have a Facebook Page called The Georgia Gazette where they post peoples mugshots and makes fun of their photos.

Matthew Sayle runs the Georgia Gazette for one reason and one reason only and that's for money. He originally planned on posting mugshots on Reddit but failed to do so. The were also plans for a Georgia Gazette Twitter. The reason they don't exist is because he cannot generate revenue on either one of those platforms. His website is run via godaddy, so everytime you guys click a link from the Georgia Gazette on Facebook, he profits. He takes pride in his website, kknowingly extorts thousands of people everyday for money. Post DUI mugshots when he has one himself.
In Georgia, the law states
In 2018, Georgia passed HB 6051 (also known as “the mugshot bill”), which amended existing legislation to restrict who can request or possess an individual’s mugshot. The new law prohibits anyone from requesting or possessing a mugshot unless they are a specifically designated party—namely, a criminal defendant themselves or their legal representative. This means that certain parties—such as employers or members of the general public—are no longer allowed to access an individual’s mugshots without permission from that individual.
Because Mr. Sayle has been posting mugshots of thousands of Georgians dating back from 4 years ago, he is not only putting them at risk for identity theft,
but he is also putting himself at risk. He can end up getting hurt or have his reputation ruined if he messes with the wrong person.
It may be true that arrest records are public, but there is a reason why police don't post mugshots and that's simply because
they are not allowed to. Mr. Sayle is putting Georgians in danger, the wrong person could take the mugshot and use it to open bank accounts, credit cards, take out loans etc.
It is not in the public's interest to have these mugshots online. I could understand posting if the person was still under custody, but the Georgia Gazette is not doing that.
The Georgia Gazette exists to make fun of people and to make money. We need this website to go down. It has ruined many lives, myself included and I want to raise awareness.

I would love to jump on board. After requesting that he remove mine and my husbands mugshots, and telling him that he just cost us a very lucartive business opportunity, he said "oh, I'm sorry" We exchanged several in which he threatened to do a story on us and our catering business. Shortly thereafter, he put my picture under the Gazette on Google, out of all the mugshots he could have chosen, he picked mine to be his poster child. so when you Google my name, that is what comes up.
We don't even have a court date and he says then the pictures will stay up until we are aquited.

Happened November 2022 & I'm just now recovering from everything thanks to my local police department & the beloved Georgia Gazette with the many emails with so much proof I was innocent & what did he do? He reposted my mugshot along with the narrative. Even sent evidence of things that happened after & they was completely heartless about it almost causing me to literally lose my life. I lost my job. Lost my image. I was completely humiliated. Charges have since been dropped & the cop (victim) had went back on his original story. I was innocent but still paid very dearly for the abuse done to me by a cop (victim), by the local law enforcement & the beloved Georgia Gazette.

Matthew Channing Sayle have literally tried to built a career off of destroying peoples lives posting their mugshots online. On his website he is trying to use the law that was put in place GA Code § 35-1-19 which have a disclosure of arrest of booking photos prohibted. If you on his website under (removals) he states the law from may 6, 2013 stating: if a individual meets the criteria the commerical website have to remove their photo. The thing is the law was updated in 2014 to (GA Code § [protected]) which means he is breaking the law. First off, the mugshots he is hacking from the county jails never (are public) so he is stealing government property, and trying to use the mugshots on his website like he is the owner. Even when the law was put in place in 2013 he says (public mugshots), and when you are arrested in the state of georgia the mugshots are never posted on the county jail websites. They are only kept internally so he is committing identity theft, cybercrime, theft, and online hacking. Even though he have a commerical website the mugshots never became public so he have no right to even post the photos on his website. He literally have over (70 county jail) mugshot photos on his website where you can click the link to go to each county to see the mugshots. He also have a youtube page, and a georgia crime magazine online which all link back to the georgia gazette. Since noone else are posting people mugshots in the state of georgia he took it upon himself to do it for monetary gain. The only thing is he is breaking the law and being investigated with authorities right now. What he is doing is most definitely unethical and illegal.
this is completely false and inaccurate. You need to go reread that statute. It says that the release of booking photos if two things happen. 1. The photos are published online and 2. The website charges people to have the photos removed. If you were not violating these two portions of the statue, then you can freely post the mug shots as long as you remove them for free when somebody is entitled to a lawful removal under the law. Accusing my client of computer fraud for theft or alleging, that he somehow steals. This information from the sheriffs offices is completely false and defamatory, and that does violate the law. Please cease and desist spreading these false rumors. All records are obtained via a lawful open records request which any citizen including yourself can make, to receive these booking photographs and associated charges.

hi Mr. mendelson, I feel like you need to update all of your complaints, as your information was removed from the website prior to your interview with WSB-TV . further, you were never entitled to have your photos and information removed from the website. As you most certainly did not appear for your initial ticket, you were guilty of your underlying offense. You were not adjudicated innocent, nor was your case dropped. You did not meet any of the eight exceptions that the legislature lists that would require The Georgia Gazette to remove your photograph. however, because it was a minor offense Mr. Sayle did remove your information and gave you a second chance under his second chance policy which he established to help people exactly like you have their information removed when the Georgia legislature feels like there’s no need for that.

I was arrested in the middle of a domestic abuse situation where I was lied on. My ex husband recant and told the judge he lied. My charges were dropped and I told the gazette this. Now they are saying they need proof and to go to the courts to get it. I can’t get to the courts and I’m just waiting on my attorney to get in contact with them. People are using this fake acccusation to harrass me and it feels like the gazette is just allowing it. I’m a veteran with severe depression and I just can’t deal with this. I recently requested the Georgia Gazette remove my teens mugshots from their website because the charges were dismissed. We followed the protocol for requesting removal of his private information according the GA law. About 2-3 weeks later, I received notice from the Georgia Gazette that the information was removed and that if the information continued to be indexed by google after 2 weeks, to contact them.
My teens information continues to show up on google search under the Georgia Gazette and I reached out to them in email asking to remove the information from being pulled up. Although I was very frustrated in general because I believe companies like this should never be allowed to post arrest information or arrest mugshots particularly of minors and especially when cases have been dismissed. It is irresponsible and shows a complete lack or respect for privacy. The responder from the Georgia Gazette was very immature and responded that "normally he would, but no thanks" ...in other words, he/she normally would remove the content but in my case, they chose not to. This is not only upsetting but displays a complete disregard for my teens privacy and or for human life. It is sad that whoever the responder was took my email so personal that they made it clear they refused to do what they normally would because they didn't like the tone of my email...I am a parent...a frustrated and concerned one, and it is systems like this that truly makes it hard to have normalcy in a world where nothing is private anymore. It’s caused severe depression to the point where I have to literally check on my son every night, several times throughout the night, just to make sure he’s still breathing. It’s heartbreaking. A student took a snapshot of the mugshot on Georgia Gazette’s website and circulated it and he became a laughing stock at his University to the point where he couldn’t handle it and left school. My son wrote an published a book at 17 years old, received an academic scholarship to college and now he’s depressed, does not socialize at all, stuck in his room, all because of the mugshot published on the Georgia Gazette website. Do these people know what it feels to be on the edge daily because of child showing signs of committing suicide?

You do have control over the search index, you're lying.
All you have to do is set the meta tag on the page to "no-index"
The listing would then be removed from Google. I encourage everyone to sue for non-removal as the "no control over Google" line is an absolute lie.

After reviewing the applicable law, please contact me immediately, and I will make sure that it is removed.
