On or about October 17th to 19th, 2023 I witnessed Chris Murphy make a derogatory remark to Nadine Powell when describing weather. He said, "You're usually cold but today you are golden." I replayed this several to make sure I heard correctly. I did. Nadine put her head down, maintained composure and carried on.
A week prior I witnessed Chris make another derogatory comment. This time I didn't write down the info, so I don't know the date and don't recall the comment. But it caused me to pay closer attention.
Nadine has not been back on air since the 2nd comment made by Chris. Rachel Schousten has been filling in.
Whatever personal disagreements exist between Nadine and Chris should be managed off air. Chris was way out of line. His comments reflect antagonism, dislike and harassment. He should be removed from his position. He is full od white priviledge and so is Rachel. As a white person I am apalled that Nadine was removed and not Chris! In this day and age with so much diversity in our country and mixed economic standings it is obnoxious to watch and listen to Chris and Rachel.
The WeatherNetwork is not upholding the principals of Diversity of our country. Remove Chris and bring back Nadine. She so refreshing to watch and listen to. It is Chris who is to be punished. Not Nadine.
Desired outcome: Restore Nadine Powell to her job position. Remove Chris Murphy.
Are you kidding me! Nadine is so nose in the air and is not friendly. This has nothing to do with where she is from! Chris has and always is wonderful & friendly on the Weather network! I turn the weather off when Nadine is on. Just cannot start my day with her negative & not positive at all looks during the show. She always acts like she is better than anyone.
