firstly they try to sell you either Google search engine optimization or Facebook advertising.. be warned you will not receive either ...what will happen is ...they sneakily attempt to get you on a rolling contract which takes 30 days written notice to cancel by then you've probably already paid a whopping £500 for something that might cost £20 to do your self . These people will then threaten you will all sorts of stuff including personal debt collectors and legal action if you should cancel your debit / credit card ...
these say they work in london have a po box address in london but are really a manchester out fit with 2 adresses

It seems that we are no longer allowed to post our view point and explanations on these malicious lies.

We have tried on 3 occasions this and last week to reply and we do not seem to be getting anywhere.

Morning all,

We have recently being involved in many PR projects and are gled to see this thread is still going for feedback purposes. Unfortunately it is the same 3 people with the repetitive personal insults. Shame really as online forums can give a good account of customer experience, this is just a tirade of insults to all involved with the Social Media People.

We can honestly say the 3 regular posters are worth avoiding at all costs. Liars are on thing but fanatical obbsessed liars are dangerous. No wonder we have had a few SEO technicians not wish their details to be published whilst there are obsessed and malicious individuals spreading lies and displaying some dangerous behaviourial traits on here.

We have said it before & will continue to refer to them as they are the voice that matters. NOT liars, NOT disgruntled ex-employees (Brian & Informer28) but actual governing bodies worth listening to. There are allegations that a lot of evidence has been forwarded to the Advertising Standards Authority, yet there is no word from them calling us a scam. In fact the total opposite. We trust people will know who to trust and listen to.

The link to the ASA ruling is: http://www.asa.org.uk/ASA-action/Adjudications/2011/7/the_social_media_people_scam, -d-, co, -d-, uk/SHP_ADJ_154984.aspx

Also the ASA is an advertising watchdog. Mocking their powers and credibility will not do you any favours. We appreciate people may feel no matter what they are right and may not wish to listen to anybody who says anything different but if your a grown adult and not so much into "he said" "she said" Then a neutral Governing Body responsible for Monitoring and regulating Advertising in the UK is a voice worth listening to.

With regards to people who have said that they have proof of us being a scam then if you send it to the ASA (whioch undoubtedly you have) then they will publicly state we are a scam. But to rubbish their decisions based on your own opinions only makes you look mis-informed.

To say because they havent seen evidence about us being a "scam" is fair enough you are entitled to your opinion. But please do not confuse your opinion with FACT. The ASA in relation to claims we are a scam said "we had not seen evidence to support that claim"

We are aware, as it has been stated on here, that all claims and evidence on this forum has been submitted to the ASA and they stand by their judgement that we are NOT a scam and did not deserve to have our business denigrated when doing a google search of our company.

We urge all parties to ### the facts and neutraly draw conclusion.

As always we do are not just inviting, but urging people to makoe contact with us.

* PLEASE NOTE WE ARE IN ONGOING TRAINING TO ELIMINATE ANY AND ALL CUSTOMERS ISSUES. WITH THE AMOUNT OF CLIENTS COMPARED TO THE AMOUNT OF GENUINE COMPLAINTS WE HAVE A FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SATISFACTION RATE.
ANYBODY WHO FEELS THEY HAVE BEEN MIS-SOLD OR THAT WE SCAM PEOPLE PLEASE FORWARD ALL DETAILS TO THE ASA, HERE IS THE LINK TO LEARN HOW TO DO SO:
http://www.asa.org.uk/Complaints/How-to-complain.aspx

AS EXPLAINED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, WE PROVIDE A FANTASTIC SERVICE AT AN EQUALLY FANTASTIC PRICE AND ANYBODY READING THESE THREADS CAN SEE AN UNHEALTHY OBBSESSION WITH OUR BUSINESS.

Geez... Doesn't anybody read the T&C of what they are agreeeing to? If half of these people who have complained could have done for less what the company offered as they now say, why did they bother signing up with the company in the first place? Due diligence before the fact...

I am in contact with companies that are taking legal action against them. Until then, I'll continue to post on the site. Such as this; another character from the fantasy that is Tom McVey's mind which makes me believe more and more that Tom McVey needs to be diagnosed for autism.

Like Stephen Jackson, who turned out to be a former pro wrestler / model (and yes, I've contacted his agency about this and now they're taking legal action!)

David Wilson is another character which I've managed to time stamp and have taken print screens of next to the photo search results via Google Images with a simple drag and drop.

Well there you go Tom, all you have to do in the future is drag and drop an image in to Google image search to ensure that no results come back for it perhaps then you can continue with your fantasy staff league.

Wanna be gangster hair cut, Wanna be gangster 4x4 (not a Range Rover pimped up!), Wanna be gangster in Heywood, Wanna be 'the top dog', Wanna be 'the Don' . TRY Being a ###ing human first you, you lowlife, deceitful, conning Scam-er with your father (daddy no thumbs Neil McVey) both being lying, cheating, ### of the earth individuals who would not know decency if it bit you in the ###!

TSMP / Net 66 and it's directors Neil and Tom McVey are baby criminals who want to be 'respected', well they don't even come up on the radar in 'Heywood, ' where they live, as 'heavy hitters'! They, Tom, thinks he is a Don. In reality he is a coke head who is more akin to a wide boy who would be best suited to a market stall ( no insults to any market traders) selling hot dogs!

Got nice and messy at the weekend did we?

Tom McVey started getting involved with drugs at an early age, quite deeply not just as a user but as a supplier - got into some real heavy business and his friend got shot dead! - ### him up a bit, but with the help of his no morales father and family support he then took a 'proper' job with the notorious scam 'Lavora marketing' and then convinced Neil that they should start scamming with Net 66 as a SEO company. Greed got the better of them and they then decided to start another Scam with Facebook advertising in the various guises of Facebook-Ads, TSMP etc.

All companies associated with The McVeys of Heywood are SCAMS with no ethics, no integrity, no honesty and criminality is the game - SCAM! Avoid these ###!

This one is a 'corker' on their T&Cs

'...We may amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. Your continued use of the Site will mean that you accept any amendments to the Terms.'

This should read: 'don't bother with quoting our Tems and Conditions to try to prove your point, because we will change them to suit our own ends and Scam you of your money'! Because how would you know that the T&Cs have been changed to their complete advantage without being informed that they have been changed? Or is it the case that you have to monitor TSMP website 24/7 to keep abreast of their manipulation?

More to follow...

TSMP T&Cs are farcical, for example:

'2.10 The Company will provide the services with reasonable skill and care.'

This direct quote from the TSMPs own current T&Cs is nonsensical. What it really is saying is that they will provide a service not beyond what is usual or expected. Usual is no return, expected is failure! Scam! Scam! Scam! Avoid like the plague!

The McVey involvement has always been there.

When they started this current scam they were trading as 'Facebook-Ads', and it was a scam then, and after all it's metamorphosis it still remains the original scam.

Interestingly, Tom McVey has 55% share of the TSMP's parent company NET 66 WEB SERVICES LIMITED and Neil 'no thumbs' McVey only has the remaining 45%. Now if the company has, as claimed, been providing 'its' services for over 10/11/8 or what ever number of years then Tom McVey was still 16 years old when the supposed company was started and was at that time was (alleged to be) involved in a drugs related death in Glodwick, a notorious 'drug' haven in Oldham Greater Manchester! what a charmer!

Deal with this family and their companies e.g. TSMP at your own risk! They are an outright SCAM!

Yeah I gave the fall list over at Badbiz forum a simple backlink check will show you net66 clients.

The facts are, they are the reason why the SEO industry has a bad name. Do companies really think they'll see results for £35 a month? That doesn't even cover half an hour of SEO! Well, actually it does. For net66 using competitive keywords means 10 minutes on-site optimisation will ensure that the company is placed on page one for SEO.

Quality SEO and competitive SEO is usually charged between 40 - 60 per hour.

Why could that be? Umh!

Could it be due to the complete lack of any customer service that people have received? Or
Could it be due to the abusive phone calls that numerous individuals have received from Tom McVey, Director, and his various aliases? Or
Could it be due to the various personal threats that numerous individuals have received from Tom McVey Director and his various aliases? Or
Could it be that due to numerous people being blatantly scammed? Or
Could it be because people are fed up from being treated like TSMPs personal piggy bank? Or
Could it be because people have seen through the sham of TSMP / Net 66? Or
Could it be because people are aware that up until recently all their clients details (current and past) are available, prior to being pass word protected, are openly available on the world wide web? see below.

So who's the '###wit' now Tom McVey! lol

Another criminal act to add to the rest, performed by, and in the name of TSMP/Net 66/Tom McVey and associates - Identity theft!

Has Tom McVey's ego dropped him in the ### again? I think so! lol a lot! And he wants to be taken seriously. Do You Think We Are Stupid Tom McVey? You are a little boy trying to play big league and you do not even register other than being in the yob brigade.

Advice - One should be very careful when powdering ones nose that they do not get that feeling of being on top of the world. The effect is like the stimulant ‘amphetamines’ but is stronger and doesn't last as long. People taking it feel wide-awake, confident and on top of their game and over-confident on it, and so take very careless risks.

Who could have developed such a serious problem with anxiety and paranoia? Topped with all the pressure of the in depth scrutiny that TSMP are currently receiving from various authoritative bodies it must be a bloody nightmare, and a court case pending. Sad!

Am I gloating? Not really, just enjoying the moment of another complete farce by Tom McVey and TSMP digging themselves into an ever bigger cesspit where they live and proving yet again that they collectively have:

No Morals - No Integrity - No Ethics - No Honour - and are:

Dishonest, Deceitful, Amoral, Criminal, ### Scammers

The fact John Quinlan has his own Wikipedia page means that one could go to national press and pour petrol on the fire that TSMP has started by explaining how Net66 / The Social Media People tried to use a quite well known 'celebrity' to push their scam company further.

Infact, I'm going to do this, I'm going to talk to a friend at 'The Sun' and we all know that 'The Sun' newspaper will investigate.

Just spoke with nominet.org.uk

With regards to a few of my own client's domain names. Thought I'd bring up The Social Media People too and interestingly enough things have moved forwards. Their Registrant name was wrong and they should have received an e-mail.

As Tom pointed out,

John Quinlan who Tom McVey used as a profile picture for the Stephen Jackson account (of which I got print screens for) John Quinlan is a model and former pro wrestler. Perhaps Tom / Stephen / Stacey / whoever he wants to be called today, should reconsider using other people's photos and furthermore using people of high status to pretend to be representing their company.

Also, what is going to happen when Stephen Jackson is sent to court and no one turns up. Finally then Tom McVey should admit defeat if he shouldn't already.

I can categorically confirm that the 'voice' on all of the above is that of Thomas (Tom) McVey of TSMP/Net 66.

This is the individual who 'resilwood' refers to as having, and I quote, "... a wonderful command of the English language."

It is pleasing to see that we all still have a sense of humour! However, we should not detract from the atrocious business practices of TSMP who have never answered any legitimate and relevant questions with regard to their business practices.

There is almost a mountain of documentary evidence to support our legitimate claims that TSMP are a company who are dishonest, dishonourable and without ethics or integrity.

The only thing TSMP (and Net 66) are good at, currently, is scamming companies and individuals by deception and deceit with a total cavalier approach with total disregard for any customer service or satisfaction of their debatable 'services'.

TSMPs view is most definitely summed up by this image, aptly titled 'Call Somebody Who Cares'

What an insight!

Well TSMP/Net 66 and the McVey's are back to their true colours again, I wonder if the 'dog[censored]' they are in also includes that of 'Rodney's and Dell Boy's'? Perhaps not, they were genuinely funny!

For any individual who has had the dubious opportunity to have any involvement with TSMP will be overly aware that the only person(s) who would publicly say, and I quote "...i admit the social media are agressive and hard to deal with but at least they dont scam..." are the McVeys!

Any criticism of TSMP, constructive or over wise, factual evidence supplied of their misdoings, infringement of legislature, deceit, threats and scamming is rebuked with profanity both verbal and written.

TSMPs continual denial of their business trading address and the inference that they are based in London, Paris, New York and Amsterdam (take the Netherlands out of the equation and 'Only Fools and Horses' comes to mind!). Please see below TSMP and Net 66's door entry system at 1a Portugal Street East, Manchester FACT!

"Give Me Info Or I Will Take It"

If you are not involved with the McVey Consortium, why are you getting involved with this thread which involves a despicable ### individual Tom McVey and his father Neil McVey? No answer required.

Their (McVey's) companies, TSMP and Net 66 Web Services, who blatantly scam companies and individuals out of money have been shown to be unethical, dishonest, criminal and amoral with their similar scams at both TSMP (facebook) and Net 66 (SEO) at 1 Portugal Street Manchester M1 2WX.

To reiterate, and I quote 'Tom Faulkner': 28-09-2011:
The issue on this thread is the appalling business practices, lack of integrity, non-existent ethics and dishonesty of The Social Media People; the Managing Director of which is Mr Tom (Thomas) McVey.

Tell you something - I've listened to Faulkner. He is pretty handy on the phone.

Unlike Tom M who seemed to be struggling to hold his own and slippery and nasty.

The recent posts possibly confirm what I have believed for some time now. TSMP are trying to dig themselves out of one massive hole and the authorities crawling over over them.

P.S can any of you guys tell me the relationship between Grace and the other ugly mugs. Is she married into the family or actually a creation of that appalling family. Just curious - something about her suggests she has more brain cells than the rest of the others put together.

Well id did not take long for TSMP/Tom McVey to pop 'its' ugly head up did it?

The amount of aliases that Tom McVey uses on various Boards is abundant, and unfortunately for him he judges others by his own low standards and accuses critics of being other people whom he has a personal axe to grind! No I am not BadBiz but thanks for the compliment!

'Give Me Info Or I Will Take It' aka Steven Jackson, Jonathan Barker-Smith, Tom McVey etc. Cage rattled again because it has been stated on the web that your companies are an outright Scam? You have been asked to answer very simple legitimate questions by various ex-clients and all you have produced is smoking mirrors in response, without answering a simple question!

Here's a quick question: "Does TSMP / Net 66 Web Services trade solely from Portugal Street East Manchester M1 2WX"?

A simple yes or no will suffice.

Showering abuse and threats at all critics, then presenting a 'calmer' image albeit of the same ilk insofar as complete denial and continuing to deny the facts placed in front of them, followed by placing their heads in the sand whilst they continue to ply their trade of scamming small companies and sole traders - Why not? TSMP and all it's associated companies which make up the McVey 'consortium' claim:
To be London based - False
Offices in Netherlands, Paris and New York - False
Not to be under a formal investigation by the ASA - False
VAT compliant - False
To have their own in-house solicitor (Steven Jackson) - False
DPA (Data Protection Act) compliant - False
Companies House compliant - False
Unfair Contracts Act Compliant - False
Copyright Compliant - False
Intellectual Property Compliant - False
Not been 'visited' by Trading Standards - False
Not been subject to an inquiry by their own bank! - False
Employing over 500 staff - False
Company Established 11 years - False
Company not visited by CC Bailiffs - False
An Ethical Company - False
An Honest Company - False
A Company with Integrity - False

TSMP/Net 66 / Tom & Neil McVey Consortium have complete contempt for anybody who has any dealings with them, including legislative bodies. All the false claims that they have made are all provable to be false, documented so.

The conclusion? An unethical, dishonest, scamming group of companies who thrive on criminality possibly?

We welcome any "legal" action and feel this speculation is going to far. Many complainants feel the need to say things such as "under investigation" etc. This is NOT true.

I would agree that in most cases I have seen of online criticism of a company, things have not gone far. But in this case I see something different. Very different IMO. A few very, very determined individuals have been scrutinising this company and its performance.

And how do TSMP know they are not being investigated by several organisations?

In my opinion, unless TSMP are squeaky clean and these allegations all totally unfounded I would guess they have quite alot to be concerned about. Just my opinion.

When did TSMP last post a response?
Perhaps the new tactic, when all else fails, is to ignore everything and hope it goes away. They have never posted an answer to any queries, questions and even accusations. so it makes very little difference to where we have arrived. The only thing of note is that some of us have been able to recover some of our money, which they deny (and that is a laugh). Otherwise there just been a chipping away of the TSMP edifice, whatever that might be.

Makes you wonder why they didn't do that in the first place.

Thankfully it has been removed. Unfortunately the topic has gone quite which means a company who still insists they're London based and continues to trade and scam people are continuing to get away with this.

I know they're under some serious legal action from a number of businesses and individuals some that Net66 / The Social Media People are aware off and some that is still being discussed and planned with solicitors.
