On September 7th, I created an account through TemplateMonster.com otherwise known as MonsterOne.com with the intent of downloading a PowerPoint template. However, I consistently received error messages every time I attempted to do so. I used Microsoft Edge, then Chrome, then Internet Explorer. I knew enough to clear my cache and cookies before attempting download with each browser but still did not have any luck.
I chatted with three or four customer service and technical support people that refused my refund, stating the download appeared to have been successful on their side. I sent multiple screenshots showing the error messages and was shuffled from one person to the next, only to have them all say they can't see any issues on their side.
Furthermore, users do not have the ability to cancel the service through the interface, yet they have to email a request to cancel from the email address they signed up with.
Every other template house allows you to control your account settings yourself.
This is either a poorly executed interface or perhaps a MAC only interface but the fact that my refund was not issued is particularly disturbing to me. It’s just bad practice, and due to them taking absolutely no accountability was infuriating and I felt people need to know this before using them. They are not a reputable company and I wanted it on the record.
