Team Miracle in Gazimagusa review: IVF package

In 2022 we decided to switch to Cyprus as the clinic we were involved with in Kiev was closed due to the war.

We came in contact with a Swedish group that made the same move.

At first it all looked promising. We were offered a discount via a Zoom meeting. Also through Zoom we had our main meeting with a female international consultant who was also a former cliënt, Carrie. In this meeting we had agreed the same deal as we had with the Kiev clinic, which means ,. In full trust we send our complete medical file to the clinic, as they requested.

But when we came to Cyprus it went different. Our consultant was a man, Umit. First he started to sell donor eggs, although that was not our interest. Then the package guarantee offer was suddenly not existing and was shoved off as a mistake from the first consultant.

Since we are time desperate, we still agreed to continue with the clinic.

We think the main doctor is not fit for the job: bad ultrasound skills, cranky, not interested in cliënts, not interested in field developments.

Our first cycle was not good al all. The communication was very poor. Before we went to Cyprus we had to have a ultrasound report from our country. We had 3 follicles on the left and 2 on the right. The doctor, E. Sever, in Cyprus saw only one follicle on the right and changed the medication on the spot from 350 IU to 600 IU. That was really disturbing for me. As we knew we had more follicles and, from previous tries, not to change doses mid procedure.

After Follicle Punction we were not told how many eggs there were and no sperm analysis or how the embryo's developed. In the recovery room after FP and still half asleep an Hanze came in te ask for the payment of the full package otherwise the ET could not take place. In the second day the consultant asked us through WhatsApp if we wanted a three day embryo transfer. We were flabbergasted and said we could only leave this to the expertise of the doctor as we have no information or expertise in this field. He laughed and said that it would be a three day ET than.

Of course this cycle failed.

Since we had paid the full package we went ahead with the second procedure. The communication was even worse. Umit did not respond, later it came out that he had some personal issues he had to attend. But even other contacts were responding very poorly.

The ultrasound skills of the doctor were as bad as they were before. And he holds the theory that older patients have to use the maximum dosage, although new research learns that it is the opposite. We had one transfer.

We had to have injections after the ET. The stand in consultant, Suhail, said he would bring the medication to our hotel but he didn't show up nor answered our messages. So we went to the clinic to get them ourselves. No sign of our consultant and we were asked why we were there. When we explained, the nurse contacted our consultant and we were given the medication, but no syringes.

Afterwards we asked for the reports of our cycles, but we did not receive anything. No spermiogram, no results from the Follicle Punction, follicle growth or embryo quality. NOTHING.

We are used to open communication in the other clinics about your own results, but here they don't record anything.

We also asked for the discount they offered in the Zoom meeting. That was denied, the told it was only for new customers, according to them we were not new. That is just crazy.

The only positive thing we can say is that the embryologist team is the true miracle of the team. Without them the clinic is just a complete scam to exploit people in there desperation for a child.

This clinic has only money as their goal. They are nice as they organize the hotel for you, but don't confuse nice with professional or qualified.

And they are not open over the package deals they sell. Honesty over packages: multiple tries means that you loose the entire package when pregnant or even loose the child.
