Two weeks ago I received a collection call from Snergy Acceptance Corp. I called them back to find out what the issue was since the loan with snergy was sold to another company in 2009. At the time the igentleman said "Oh is was a mistake you do not owe anything everything is paid off". I said thank and would he kindly send me a letter in the mail to state this... I got the letter all right... the problem is that instead of stating " Bill paid in full" it stated I owed 206.71 due in 12/24/2012. I called them back and asked to speak to a manager who was not availiable. I have requested a call back and another letter in the mail I hope I get it... But this is an unneccessay hassle for a loan that they do not even own anymore. Mary B Synergy Acceptance Corp Scam

I too am having serious problems with synergy, I just read they filed bankrupcy in 2011...I cannot reach the office the number says it's disconnected. I have no idea what to do. I have perfect payment record with them..though they have added many late charges that Ricky Roberson told me was a mistake and he would get them taken off. but month after month they would still show on my bill ..thats been going on for a year or more. but last month the check I sent in was never cashed. this month I can't get them on the phone. I don't know what to do! my truck is almost paid off. When they moved from woodstock a while back, they never contacted me and I couldnt contact them for 3 months. really unnerved me. and now this.

In April of 2007, I purchased my 2006 MINI Cooper S from South Atlanta BMW/MINI on Jonesboro Road in Union City, GA. Synergy Acceptance Corporation was the company who ended up financing the car through South Atlanta BMW/MINI .

I purchased the car for $21, 459.93, with a percentage rate of 26% (not the best credit rating at the time), a finance charge of $17, 508.87 and I financed the vehicle for 60 months. The total payments would be $38, 968.80. The car will be paid off in April of 2012.

Scams on this company are ALL over the place. I contacted the Federal Trade Commission, The State Attorney Generals Office and The Department of Consumer Affairs.

After my investigations started in December, a friend of mine contacted on my behalf requesting my Payment History (I personally was requesting this and had not gotten anywhere). She sent the letter dated 1/31/2011 to their attorney on file and we got a response 2/14/2011. My initial complaint made with the BBB started 12/2/2010 and wasn't closed until 4/20/2011 with my Payment History. They showed I financed $21, 459.93 and the Payoff Amount was $17, 160.31. I am no finance genius, but that is INCORRECT! The BBB tried 3 times to contact them and had NO response. The BBB indicated they had an F rating as a business. And so on!

I have done investigating on this company and it has come to my attention some alarming things. The Georgia office abruptly closed (this was my local office). This I was only made aware of months after this had happened. Cars were repossessed that were not to be and damaged. Yet, the company does not claim responsibility. Amounts on vehicles were incorrect as mine. Phone calls not returned, references being called when they shouldn't be, incorrect payment histories. The list goes on and on.

With the unfortunate economy and like you know, I was laid off on New Year's Eve 2008, but made every effort t make my payments on the car, even if they were late. In the four -(4) years that I have had the car in my possession, I have never had the car repossessed, I have maintained it and kept it insured, etc.

Also, in April of 2008, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and since then have battled with the repercussions of that. I am on disability and have gotten employment as of April of this year, but it does not affect my ability to take care of my financial obligations.

I know this is lengthy, but there is a lot. I had pulled my credit two weeks ago to verify my score. Late last year I did file Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, but the car was never included. They were NOT listed on my credit at all. I reaffirmed this again last night at Carmax because I had my car appraised. It appraised at $15, 000.00 and Kelly Blue Book had it valued at $15025.00. They tried to get the payoff amount last night and there was no answer. Carmax indicated they have NEVER heard of them!

In the last five-months there has been absolutely communication from them. I stopped making payments because things are very unnerving.

I need to know what to do with this company too. They repossed the van back in 07 because they said I didn't make a payment one month, but I did and I sent them the dupilacte copy of the check showing proof. Two months after they came and got it they sent the check to the bank not once but the same check twice. I got a letter today saying I am being sued for over 9, 000. This supposed to had been a buy here pay here place. I now find out it wasn't. What do I need to do?

Hi Mary,

I, too, have been haggling with Synergy Acceptance Corp regarding my account. I have been going back and forth with this company for several months regarding a payment I made over two years ago (July 2009) to this company that they never posted to my account, in addition to numerous erroneous late charges and fees that they charged to my account. I also hired an attorney to get the matter resolved so that I can pay off the balance and get the title to my vehicle. However, seven months later this company has still failed to comply with my attorney's numerous requests for it to provide the accurate payoff amount of my vehicle that shows where my missing July 2009 payment and erroneous late fees being have been properly credited to my account.

I submitted a formal letter of complaint to the California State Attorney General office (where Synergy Acceptance Corp is now based) to complain about this company. Of course, Synergy Acceptance Corp denied every complaint I included in my first letter to the State Attorney General Office. I just mailed a response to the Attorney General's office disputing this company's denials, along with supporting documentation to counter its claims. I also included in my latest correspondence to State Attorney General Office copies of online complaints from consumers just like you and me who have experienced difficulties communicating with this company to get our billing issues resolved.

You should file a complaint with the California State Attorney General Office. The more people submit their complaints, it will compel the Attorney General Office to conduct a formal investigation into Synergy Acceptance Corporation's fraudulent business practices. Several people have and are experiencing exactly what you are going through with this company. What needs to happen is those of us who are having problems getting this company to resolve our billing issues should come together and file a class-action lawsuit. There is indeed strength in numbers. Simply posting our complaints on these complaint blogs is not enough. Please reply here if you are interested in joining me in filing a class-action lawsuit against this company.

I wish us both in getting this matter resolved,

ASH
