After returning home from our holiday in tenerife on tom1711, monday morning on the 23rd december 2019, we realised one of our suitcases has went missing.
After walking around an empty airport we finally contacted a stafff member of the airport, who told us to wait at a check in desk opposite the swiss port desk, and a duty manager would come and take details, after a small wait the said member attended the desk and took details of the case, details of the flight anf my partners name and phone number as it was her case. And took the reference number of the case.
The next morning my partner tried to check online to see if anything had been found only to find out that we were supposed to have been given a reference number to use in any contact. Not having this she then phoned up and went over the details again and was given a reference number of nclby11971.
Thinking it was just a waiting game now my partner left any more contact with it being christmas, but checking online today ( sunday 29th december 2019) has fut her surname and the above reference number online juat to have a message stating the details are not recognised. She has phoned swissport again at newcastle airport and was told, sorry we have no recognition of this being reported.
This service is absolutely disgraceful. Why dont swissport gain cctv coverage for the time it was reported and they will see we were there. Why didnt swissport duty manager do her job right in the first place, and how come with the airport being empty at the time, apart from us, can details be lost. So now what do we do, as they have told us after 5 working days they dont deal with it and it gets sent elsewhere.
Please contact me with regards to this
