From day one Suwannee River Construction Company did not keep its word. Materials that I paid for never showed up. An 8 week job is still not complete a year later. No supervision of project. Mistakes and shoddy work done left and right. And now total abandonment of the job with no explaination, no return of phone calls. Despite trying to be patient and work with them in hopes they would come around I cannot wait any longer and have to finish the house on my own. Main Complaints are : Materials promised not delivered
Materials paid for not delivered
Inspections never passed
No supervision of workers
Supplies of wood left out in the weather to mold and decay and get bug infested
Windows designed could not be manufactured
Siding put on incorrectly
Simple steps had to be redone 3 times
Wood improperly cut for beams and posts
Well ben and gis wife opeaned a fitness center called american family fitness in lake city fl maybe u could try there or actually look on columbia county clerk of courts website he owes even te IRS money so you are not alone keep going after the bad guys and repond if you need ny info
we had alot of problems when building our log home with suwannee river construction also. It would take me most of day to write down everything wrong with our dream home. but most important is our fireplace and roof leak and i get alot of water in house every time it rains. My upstairs floor sags when you walk on it, boards are falling off house, didn't put in dryer vent until after home was finished so now I have alot of elbows and footage running thru half my house to the outside so now I have to have a blower to blow the lint. I forger to turn it on alot because how many people have to turn on a switch to dry clothes? Now i worry about a fire hazard. This is just a few of my problems but buyers BEWARE if you are interested in a log home, Please shop around. If you use Suwannee River you will most likely be like the rest of us... ripped off and they wont accept your calls or texts. For myself I had to get a lawyer to send pictures and complaints to the Dtate of Florida Dept of Business and Professional Regulations to get their attention after 1 1/2 years trying to work with them. I was promised a 5 yr warranty and if I would go to their reviews and give them a good one they would make sure I was taken care of. What a joke I gave them a good review which was a lie but then they just blew me off...michael morrison (supervisor who was never here) and ben miller (the owner). BEWARE!
If they broke the contract call an attorney, if he or she says you got no case, well then you are SOL.
