Suntrust Bank is terrible. They honored a stolen check I canceled a week prior though the name was changed and amount made much higher they paid it and over drew my account. Other checks I wrote to clients were returned unpaid and my account frozen for a week. Suntrust said they would write a letter for my client clearing me but the letter never came. Two weeks suntrust said they are closing my account. I called and they said because they are merging and my account was 22 years old. They told me to go to the branch and fill an ownership form which I did, The manager swore my account would not be closed. Finally, Suntrust did close my account and checks again bounced no fault to me. I tried in vain to reach the main office in Georgia to complain to upper management and the CEO Mr, Rogers but all emails, faxes and phones posted on their web page do not work. Run away from them... I have contacted my attorney to see whether I have a defamation lawsuit.
