Students of the World Disappointing Experience with Students of the World: Discrimination Based on Religion?

So, I was checking out this website called Students of the World ( and I gotta say, I wasn't too impressed with my experience. I was trying to join a university in Canada and decided to attend an online meeting with these guys. But let me tell you, they didn't answer any of my questions! I mean, I'm Muslim and I can't help but wonder if that had something to do with it. It's like they were ignoring me just because of my religion.

Honestly, it's pretty disappointing to see this kind of behavior in today's world. I thought we were past all that racism and discrimination stuff, but I guess not. It's a shame that even organizations like Students of the World can't seem to get it right.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this website to anyone. If they're going to treat people differently based on their religion or ethnicity, then what's the point? We should be working together to make the world a better place, not tearing each other down. So yeah, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Students of the World Review: Students of the World - A Safe, Free, and Informative Resource for Learning About Different Countries and Cultures

Students of the World is a website that has a lot of information about different countries all over the world. Even though the information about some countries may not have been updated for a few years, it still has a lot of useful information that you can learn from.

One of the best things about this website is that it is safe for kids to use. It is monitored every day to make sure that there is no inappropriate content on the site. You don't need to give any personal information or register your email address to use the site, which is great for keeping your information safe.

Another great thing about Students of the World is that it is completely free to use. You can access all of the information on the site without having to pay anything. This makes it a great resource for students who are looking to learn more about different countries and cultures.

One thing to keep in mind is that you will not be notified when you receive a message on the site. This can be a good thing for safety reasons, but it also means that you need to check the site regularly to see if you have any new messages.

Overall, Students of the World is a great resource for anyone who is interested in learning more about different countries and cultures. It is safe, free, and easy to use, making it a great choice for students of all ages.

Students of the World Mixed Bag: My Experience with Students of the World

I gotta say, I tried out Students of the World ( and it was a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, there were some cool people to chat with and learn from. But on the other hand, there were some real sketchy characters on there too.

One thing I noticed right off the bat was that some of the "students" on the site were actually adults pretending to be kids. I mean, come on, what kind of grown-up wants to hang out with a bunch of teenagers online? It's just creepy.

And then there were the messages. I got a few that seemed really fishy, asking for personal info like my address and phone number. I didn't give them anything, of course, but it still made me nervous.

Another thing that bugged me was how quickly some of my "friends" on the site disappeared. I'd chat with someone for a day or two, and then they'd just vanish. It made me wonder if they were real people or just bots or something.

All in all, I'd say that making friends in real life is probably a better bet. You never know who's behind the screen on a site like this, and it's hard to tell the real from the fake. So be careful out there, folks.

Students of the World Review of Students of the World: Pros and Cons of this Free Penpal Site

I've been using Students of the World for quite some time now and I have to say, it's got its ups and downs. Let me break it down for you:
On the positive side, this site is completely free! The only time you have to pay is if you want to use snail mail, which costs around 20 euros. They also have an internal mail service, so you don't have to give out your personal email address in your profile. Plus, you can add photos to your profile if you want to show off your cute dog or your latest vacation pics. In terms of safety, there are a few adults on the site, but it's mostly geared towards kids and young adults, so it's pretty difficult to find any creeps lurking around.
On the downside, the design of the site is pretty outdated. It looks like it was made in the 90s and could definitely use a facelift. Also, the text limit for your profile is pretty short, so you can't really write a lot about yourself. And just a heads up, messages are automatically deleted after a year, so make sure you save any important information elsewhere.
In terms of finding penpals, I've only had European ones so far. Most of them ask for social media pretty quickly, but then disappear after a few days. It seems like a lot of young people (between 15 and 25 years old) on the site are just bored and not really interested in learning about other cultures or countries. So, don't expect to make any long-lasting friendships here. If you're really interested in learning about other cultures, I'd suggest doing some research on the internet instead of relying solely on this site. But overall, it's a decent option if you're just looking for a casual penpal.

Students of the World Review: Students of the World - A Safe Place for Kids to Find Pen Pals and Epals

Students of the World is a website that I used back in high school, and it's a lot like Interpals. It's a place where you can find pen pals and epals, but it's mostly for kids. At the time, I thought it was pretty good, but that was mostly because I hadn't used any other sites like it until years later.

The site is fairly simple to use, and there are enough people on there that you're bound to find at least a few people who you (or your kid) will find interesting. Plus, because the site has a mailbox system, you're never actually required to give your contact information out to anyone.

Since the site is explicitly meant for kids, there aren't a whole lot of adults on the site. Those who are typically parents looking for a pen friend for their kid, teachers looking for a class exchange, or people in university/college. So if you're a parent reading this, I don't think you have to be too worried about the people on there being creepy adults because, with only a couple of exceptions over the course of three or four years of using the site, I didn't encounter too many through here.

However, the site seems to be perpetually stuck in the '90s when it comes to website design. Because of this, I'm not entirely convinced it's the best when it comes to web security either, so I guess there's a certain degree of buyer beware when it comes to the site.

Additionally, due to what I'd assume are server limitations, most messages you had in your Students of the World inbox would be deleted after a year. It was unfortunate if you'd been talking to someone on there for a while and suddenly lost all of your early messages.

On the other hand, you didn't really get a whole lot of room to say stuff on your profile, so it's not like you can have a huge wall of text on your SotW profile like you can on an Interpals profile. This can cut both ways, depending on how you want to look at things--if you're someone who doesn't really like long profiles, it's fine, because it forces people to be succinct; but if you're someone who wants to make sure the other person has something in common with you before you talk to them, then you're screwed because it's hard to summarise all your interests into two or three lines unless you're the world's most boring person.

Overall, the site is good for what it is, and it does carve out a niche that I don't think would be catered to otherwise. However, it suffers from its very dated looking, '90s-style layout and apparent lack of budget to produce any real updates for the site. But I think this could be a matter of you getting what you pay for, because it's free to use like Interpals but also lacks any adverts like Interpals does.
