Starz Encore Network review: Westerns

In watching a rerun of the old television series, “The Rifleman” on Starz Encore Westerns, I see there is now included a programming note that states: “Outdated Cultural Depiction”. Is this really necessary? Can anyone explain to me why this is suddenly needed? Am I to conclude from this action that programs shown on the Starz Encore Western channel are going to regularly inform viewers what is and isn’t culturally relevant according to the time it was produced. I find this insulting to the extreme. Quit treating viewers as infants and save your “warnings” about content for more important matters. This seems yet another rather pathetic move in the direction of political correctness….. enough is enough!
