S&S Appliance Repair-Bessemer, AL review: Bosch dual-fuel range

I purchased a Bosch Duel-Fuel Range on 6/27/19 with a 5 year ASSURANT warranty from Lowes in Dothan, AL. In November 2022 the electric oven stopped working with the code E-118. On December 15, 2022 I arranged with S&S Appliance Repair, the ASSURANT approved repair service in Alabama, to inspect our oven. Their tech came to my home on 12/19/22 and confirmed a defective cooling fan that had to be replaced. He said parts must be ordered and he should have them by 12/26/22. According to S&S, a repair authorization request was sent to ASSURANT on 12/21/22 for a total cost of $465.23.

In early January 2023 I called S&S to ascertain the delay and was told they were waiting “approval from ASSURANT”. However, the ASSURANT website says my repair was approved on 12/15/2022. Has ASSURANT indeed authorized the repair or do you also have to authorize the parts or their cost? I have contacted S&S by phone and e-mail and have reached out to ASSURANT customer service by phone and e-mail without success.
