Spca of tn celina weissenborn aka celina batlle aka celina battle has stolen from many people, including fosters for the dogs. She gets others to pay bills, and says she will pay them back, and never does. There is others that have saved dogs under her name, but she herself is riddled with calling other people names and saying they are crazy when she has done those people wrong. That should of been my red flag, is her use of expletives when referring to others I know in rescue that are good rescuers. Curious to me is the fact that someone recently had filed a complaint with macc nashville animal control, accusing celina of neglecting and abusing her own dogs, but the report would have to be viewed by going into macc to see the facts. I hope this is not true, I really do, but given how she acts, I would not doubt it, for once. Google the spca of tn and the word ripoff. Ask everyone who is no longer with her about how much money she stole from them. Call the vet offices in the nashville area and give them all the phone numbers that spca of tn uses (Also dr. Wojo). [protected]-392-0134. Celina is banned for no pay. She is relentless and the lowest of the low, even to rip off these wonderful veterinarians. If anything got paid at all, it is more than likely one of her directors of spca, that is, those that have not left her yet. Some people are not as they appear, she is definitely fooling everyone with a good name such as spca and should have another person run her rescue. If given any opportunity she will steal, make profits and double dip the sponsors money and just take it all without paying the rescue person she worked with. If there is money involved or a chance to steal, you've been warned. Anyone can give appearances of being good when in actuality they are abusive, morally or ethically as evil as it gets. Worse yet, it is awful that there is some people only in rescue to get glory or $$ to themselves and could care less about any animals. If you ask or catch her in something, she will play the victim and reverse blame in an attempt to make the innocent person appear guilty. She did this to a dear rescue friend of mine, initials k h. Who happens to be a real rescue that rescues over 10 dogs a week. Spca should not be mixed up with the aspca. Anyone can say they are spca.
I am not sure who else to contact about a situation that came to light as of Friday 9/29. SPCA of Tennessee (Nashville) is placing dogs with a "trusted foster" who is severely neglecting the dogs in her home. She has about 14 dogs, living full time outside with NO shelter or proper care. I filed a complaint with the local authorities in Etheridge TN, Lawrence County, and an officer is filing a report. He mentioned that animal control will be calling Joanne Powell (foster) which I am not sure how far or fast they're able to help.The investigators are going to take over, however, SPCA OF TN IS NOT FIT TO BE A RESCUE! CELINA IS PUTTING THESE DOGS IN DANGER AND EVEN WORSE CONDITIONS THEY WERE IN BEFORE! WHAT IS THE POINT? Celina is NOT fit to be a rescue of any sort. Someone please please DO SOMETHING.
There is a reason why she currently has a few lawsuits against her, not to mention the horrible reviews. If that's not telling of her character than I don't know what is. Pictures and words don't lie. She told me the foster was wonderful and had an incredible 5,000 sqf home, FALSE (Please see pictures attached). Authorities said the situation in which the dogs were living in were worse than he imagined. There are currently 14d dogs under the care of this unfit foster, Joanne Powell.
SPCA has placed approx 8+ dogs in Joanne's care, 3 of them have gone missing and Celina has not filed a complaint or have conducted a local search. She ONLY called them Saturday 9/30, because she found out I DID. I was trying to help locate the dogs and get a hold of the foster. Wouldn't think a rescue would pull the rest of the dogs out of this home after finding out she lost THREE of her dogs? Nope, she did not.
SPCA is not a fit rescue nor should be called one. Celina is actively rescuing dogs and being placed in questionable care. She doesn't vet her fosters and she lies.
If there's anything you can do to help this situation, please let me know. These dogs are suffering in Joanne's care, living in small crates 24/7 and are not let out of that confined space. Please please help these dogs. I have the home address and a picture of Joanne if needed. THIS IS NOT OK.
yes it is true would you believe she claimed to to the top of mount Everest the other day trayed to climb in the helicopter slipped off the mouton fell down landed on her back and said lets do it again!
