We paid hired " Snowman " for seasonal snow and ice maintenance. First payment issued was Nov 1st $915.30.
Contract Service starts Nov 15 th.
On November 20 th I emailed inquiring about service and method of snow measurement as it had snowed and our property was not plowed.
Snowman replied in his first email saying he's already spent too much time explaining this which he didn't . In his 2nd reply email he threatening to cancel the contract. By 7 pm Nov 21 st next day he cancelled and refused to provide a refund.
We accepted cancellation and waived the 30 day noticed. He sent us a bill from Nov 21 st until December 21st for services that he cancelled and we accepted immediate cancellation for.
He refuses to refund Novembers payment and has threatened collection on payment for service after the cancellation date.
This guy has a history of withholding payment owed.

Please file a complaint with Ontario Consumer Protection and reference the case number if you have had issues with this vendor.
The last time I did this the Vendor was taken to court, fined by Consumer Protection and spent time in jail. The vendor also went out of business.
It is possible to achieve justice. If he's done something to you please do not hesitate to file.
Please quote the file number so the complaints are handled together. The more complaints about a vendor the more serious the Ministry and the penalty will be.
