They took my monrey for my order, nowhere on their website does it say they won't ship to a P.O. Box. So when I provided them a residential address to ship to, they still refused to ship my order. Even though they had already taken my money.

I ordered a set of marine speakers for $129.59 on Sat. July 10. It shipped on the 12th. On July 13th, FedEx was showing this item as "Out for Delivery" and it stayed that way for days. I contacted Skar Audio through their eBay store on July 17 to let them know the item was never delivered. Skar Audio replied on the 20th that it was still in a "pending state" since July 13. On July 22, the tracking information was miraculously updated that the package was delivered on July 13th and the missing case with eBay was closed. The package was never delivered to my house and I'm out $129.59. Ebay and the seller are refusing a refund. FedEx will not work with me and states the seller needs to contact them to file a lost claim. I live on a dead end road and my wife was home all day - she would have heard/seen the truck when it pulled up. We also have a security camera on our property that shows FedEx NEVER showed up to our house. SOMEONE is not telling the truth. I just want my money back.

Business Response TO: Mr. *** FROM: Skar Audio, Inc RE: BBB Complaint Case# 67465003 (Ref#X-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-X-XXX) To Whom It May Concern & Mr. ***, Mr. *** contacted Skar Audio via the eBay messaging platform beginning in mid-July 2020. Mr. was inquiring in regard to his recent purchase of an IX-12 subwoofer of which he purchased for $49.99 on 7/8/20 via eBay (Order # XX-XXXXX-XXXXX, Item #: XXXXXXXXXXXX), and the issues to which he believed he was having with his voice coil. Mr. worked specifically with our Service team to complete a field destroy of his purchase and a shipment of a new replacement item on 7/20/20. The replacement was delivered on 7/21/20 to Benham, KY. In addition to having his defective subwoofer replaced, Mr. also then sent a subwoofer with a shipping label provided by eBay directly to which was refunded on 8/3/20. Up to this point, Mr. as received a new subwoofer, had this subwoofer replaced, and then returned a subwoofer for a refund. Mr. advised that he has an additional unit of the IX-12 D4 that he has paid cash for at an establishment other than Skar Audio, however, when asked if we would be able to refund this unit for him, he is unable to provide a receipt or proof of purchase. Mr. was advised via our Customer Service Team we would not be able to replace the item. Mr. further advised that he has purchased a ZVX subwoofer and SKv2-4500.1D amplifier to which Skar Audio has no record of these purchases being made in the last 2 years. Unfortunately, even when asked in multiple cases, Mr. cannot provide proof of purchase from Walmart for the items mentioned or the additional IX-12 subwoofer that was purchased that was paid for in cash. I can confirm that we have reviewed the tracking information that was provided for the IX-12 subwoofer that was returned and refunded on 8/3/20, however, this subwoofer arrived as a single unit and not two boxes tapped together. We are unsure why the Postmaster in Mr. area, being a professional who works with mail and shipments daily, would see taping two separate items together as a feasible and reasonable way to ship these items. In all instances of communication from Skar Audio's Customer Service Team (attached for review), it is my finding that the representatives interacted on Skar Audio's behalf in a helpful manner trying to gather proof of purchase to move forward with assisting Mr. with the items he believed were missing and/or defective. In all cases, Mr. interacted very aggressively, often being derogatory and using unprofessional language. Unfortunately, Skar Audio was unable to further assist Mr. as he became very threatening, and ultimately, could not satisfy proof of purchase for the SKv2-4500.1D, the ZVX subwoofer, or the 2nd IX-12 D4. Skar Audio is proud to stand behind its products, warranty, and service delivery. Skar Audio requires all customers who are returning items for warranty or a refund to provide a proof of purchase prior to sending any items for review to Skar Audio's headquarters. Should Mr. be able to provide proof of purchase in the form of an original sales invoice, printed receipt, or even email receipt showing the date of purchase, items purchased, the original order number, his name along with the tracking information that shows his SKv2-4500.1D and ZVX subwoofer have arrived at Skar Audio's facility, Skar Audio is happy to move forward with assisting Mr.. Skar audio keeps saying I received my package and I have yet to receive it! I have been home every single day and have yet to receive my package, it shows it had to be signed for and no one has brought anything to me! They keep denying me a refund for over $500 that I spent and still haven't got my order. Next step is the courts. I got scammed!

I ordered from Skar and never got the items. They use a special skar tape to show tampering, when i got it and opened it it was a bunch of empty boxes I purchased on 04/16 2 evl-12 4 ohms on eBay. I paid around $419 dollars. I purchased from Skar from their eBay store for my YouTube review and giveaway. I've ordered from them before with no problems, but this time they did me wrong as a customer on this. I don't know if it was them or FedEx. They shipped very fast and the box stated it was 30 pounds or so but when it got here it felt way lighter than expect so I decided to document the opening of the case for YouTube and for my purposes. I opened the box and it was full of the two empty boxes and cushions. I went ahead and messaged them before I made a dispute and they thought i was saying it got stolen from my house so make a police report because you aren't getting a refund or a replacement. So then i said the box came but had no subwoofers in it just boxes that were open where the speaker was supposed to be. Then they messaged me three hours later saying " we will not give you a replacement or a refund just because it says it got delivered" and I said i had documentation showing Me opening the box and they still didn't care. They said an alternative route is to file a investigation with my bank. I personally want to see who runs this place. There customer service deserves an F. I don't get how you are trying to make a busines And not cover your customers from stuff like this happening. Could of at least used the insurance you put on the package to cover it.

Informed seller I did not receive item that was supposed to be delivered! Seller would not resend item! I placed an order for skar speakers did not receive the item. Order was initially placed thru Amazon. Contacted Amazon as well as the seller to einform them I did not get the item. Amazon even emailed this company on my behalf to have them replace the order for me, seller still insisted they would not resend me my product ! Opened up a case with FedEx which is who the deli every was supposed to been made by. Seller still has not agreed to resend product and will not return my funds.

Skar Audio Received used goods and no response from customer service after 2 weeks

Received used goods and no response from customer service after 2 weeks. I had recently purchased audio equipment from skar audio. The amplifier is in question. The amplifier appears to be in used condition. Upon inspection seal are cut and warming sticker was cut and replaced over top. There appears to be small tool marks on gain controls ect... plastic sleeve covering on amp was obviously opened and re taped. I had tried to contact customer service via email almost 2 weeks ago and have not gotten response. I have checked my spam folder as well just Incase it was filtered out. Still nothing. Can not reach by phone.

Business Response Dear Mr. and BBB, Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We are happy to assist and we believe that based upon recent events, the account of what has truly transpired is not entirely accurate. It is Skar Audio's policy that any items that are returned for warranty which do not specifically state the address to which the item or its replacement is to be returned, will be returned to the original shipping address on the purchase order. This process was specifically implemented to assist in cutting down turnaround time for customers on warranty replacements. We can all relate that no one likes to be without the items for which they have spent their hard-earned money. After further review, we found that Mr. originally purchased his amplifier and had it shipped to his former employer on initial purchase. Upon receipt of Mr. items, there was no address change specification made so the replacement was sent to the original shipping address from the initial purchase order. After Skar Audio sends a replacement to a customer, an email is sent to the email address on file with the shipping information including the address to which an item is being shipped and the tracking number with the carrier. Mr. replied to this specific email 2 days after the items had been delivered to the original address on Mr. order stating that we had shipped to the incorrect address. To correct this situation, Skar Audio has gone above and beyond including calling Mr. former employer to have the items returned to Skar Audio at no expense to Mr. and sending a separate replacement unit to the correct address for Mr.. In fact, in a review of customer contact with Mr., the Customer Service Team (including the Returns Manager) have promptly responded to emails with Mr.. Additionally, our team attempted to reach Mr. via phone, however, we were unsuccessful in reaching him or leaving a message. Mr. was made aware via email of a resolution as recent at 11 AM EST today and his replacement unit is being reshipped to the address he has provided. While we understand Mr. frustration, we find it important to be factual about the attempts to be expeditious in correcting issues for our customers and the diligent work of our Customer Service team. We thank Mr. for being a Skar Audio customer and we look forward to the opportunity to service his car audio needs in the future. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I will be ok and accept a new amp sent to my correct home address. And yes the address was updated so that is a lie. They could have told me this and I did not have to go to this extent but they told me the address was not correct however the warranty form had correct address. Ok as long as my amp will come back that's ok Consumer Response The last complaint was because of no tracking number for the shipping to my correct address. I sent back my defective amp for repair. They have not emailed me the correct address tracking number of *** Palm coast *** XXXXX They have sent it to Faimly Kia in Saint Augustine. I no longer work there and I stated the correct address on warranty return form as well as it was on my return shipping label. Now I get email saying my package was delivered to Faimly Kia. I was told they would get package back and ship to me. However that's has not happened and I don't have my amp or a tracking number to my address not the Faimly Kia address. So I want my amp no I'm not playing. I feel as if my product has been stolen and I feel I should call police at this point. Please help me get my stuff back I paid for and not the defective amp they are trying to send me back. This a bad business on there point and should not continue to operate. I want a new or no problem amp sent to my correct address listed below witch was supplied to them now 4 times. Skar Audio was successfully able to speak with Mr. on the afternoon of January 14th to advise that tracking had shown that his replacement amplifier was delivered to his requested address. Mr. was not home at the time to confirm, but he advised he would follow up with Skar Audio should he have any further issues.

I order a svr 12" subwoofer on the Black Friday sale cause it was the only time I could really afford it . But somehow the information came back as fraudulent the order number is *** it's been 4 days now and I'm sitting here with no subwoofer and haven't received my money back from y'all. I would really like to be able to get the speaker for the 103$ I spent for but if not possible I would at least think I'd get my money back not robbed out of my money and a Black Friday sale. I ordered it on NOV 29th 2020 paid with my well Fargo card with my name on it with my email attached as well as the address so I don't understand how that seem to happen

Business Response Dear Mr. and BBB, Skar Audio is extremely cautions in online transactions and protecting consumers and cardholders from being victims of fraud. To prevent fraudulent activity, Skar Audio has developed internal fraud controls that review the metadata submitted with all customer orders and payments and flag any consistencies with previous proven fraudulent orders. When an order is flagged as high risk, Skar Audio immediately cancels the transaction and does not capture payment. While the transaction is canceled from Skar Audio's side, payment processor and financial institution can take up to 7 business days to release fund funds back to the cardholders account. This is advised on every canceled high risk transaction via email to the email address provided to the order. In cases like Mr., if the customer contacts us in regards to the order, we will request that the customer reorder using a specific payment method that guarantees the purchase for both the buyer and the seller. Additionally, we provided the customer the sale price on the items as this transaction was canceled during our Cyber Monday sale. Mr. was thankful for our response and communication in the most recent response to our customer service team. Sincerely

I provided proof I am myself by providing a picture of my driver's license and one of my credit card. And apparently they wouldn't rescind their decision. Just kept repeating themselves via email. Wouldn't even offer me a discount for the inconvenience. They just kept saying I could use a PayPal account. I don't trust PayPal and they allow for direct payment via credit/debit cards. They say they refunded my money for both times but I haven't received it. They made no attempt to fix the issue. My order number was (XXXXXXXXXX).

Business Response Dear Mr. and BBB, Thank you for bringing this issue to my attention and we look forward to assisting you in this matter. In the case of Mr. original order, the order was canceled as Skar Audio could not send the item ordered to the PO Box listed as the shipping address due to size and weight of the item. Since this was the case, the order was canceled and an email was sent that indicated that Skar Audio would need the order replaced and the shipping address to be updated to a physical address that was capable of receiving shipments from the shipping carrier (i.e. FedEx). When an order is canceled prior to shipping, Skar Audio does not collect the funds via a payment capture as this is only done at the time of shipping. The funds will show as a pending charge on your payment method until the authorization has reversed itself which is controlled directly by the relationship between the payment processor and your card issuer. On your secondary order attempt, our fraud control system identified similar points that were consistent with previous fraudulent orders which is the reason for the secondary cancelation of your order. As can be seen in the documentation attached to this response, the IP address used for this purchase was located 195 miles from the shipping address (Chicago, IL) and the billing street address entered by Mr. did not match the credit cards registered address. When this is the case, our systems will identify and cancel the order as a high risk of fraud and send an email to the address on file indicating that the order will need to be replaced with PayPal or PayPal Express Checkout as this service guarantees purchases for both parties in the transaction protecting all parties involved. We do apologize that this is an inconvenience, however, this practice is only to protect consumers from being victimized by identity theft and rising crime rates of online fraud. We would welcome Mr. to replace his order at any time using PayPal or PayPal Express Checkout, and we would be happy to evaluate the order for shipping immediately upon completion. Regards, Jordan A. Well why then is there an option for APPLE PAY payments on the website! If there was no option I would have had no choice but to use amazon or PayPal now I have wait another week or so to replace the order when I'm fact it was the systems fault and not my own at this point I'm not even sure I want to do wi these people again! Bad business.. just disable Apple Pay if you're gonna flag everyone that uses it when in fact it's the safest most reliable way of payment .. with fingerprint recognition!

Upon submission of your order, our internal fraud system and controls examines various metadata and payment details looking for certain checkpoints in the data that are consistent with previously verified orders. In this case, your order was submitted under a different name, the order was of a very high value, and the IP address of the device was located 57 miles from the shipping address provided for the order - in fact, the IP address was located in another state all together. When our system sees characteristics like this on an order, it immediately cancels the order to protect the cardholder and card issuer. Skar Audio cares for its consumers and know how devastating identity theft and fraud can be for consumers who work hard for their money. Unfortunately, while this system protects a great many consumers in stopping fraud and devastating financial impacts, it does rarely impact some legitimate order. This is why we email you upon cancelation of the order with an alternate method of payment - on the guarantees security for all parties involved in the transaction. At the time of cancelation, Skar Audio releases any and all holds for the funds or authorizations from our side so that the payment processor and financial institutions can return the funds to you as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, Skar Audio does not have control of how fast the funds return to you, however, we have found in most cases the pending charge is dropped or the funds are re-allocated to your account with a few business days. I'm a truck driver I have wireless Verizon 4g LTE hotspot it connects to a PA cell tower or the nearest 4-5g tower! Yet, and still that shouldn't impact the ordering process especially when I'm using Apple Pay! My name is *** I primarily use *** bc *** is just a sir name it's clearly the name on my credit/debit card! None the less I use Apple Pay for the sole purpose of 100% secure transactions that include face and or fingerprint authorization! I understand this was all for security reasons and I actually submitted this before you reached out to me via email.. but a call would of been nice! Update your site and include these notes to so no one else has to deal with this problem! Let them know before placing an order not to be connected to a hotspot and not to use Apple Pay! If that's done I'll retract my statement.. bc like I said I sent this before I contacted Skar audio through email! I also went ahead and placed another order through PayPal while I wait for my to be refunded ! My birthday is this week and so I planned on treating myself.. not beating myself! I could have easily shopped and spent my hard earned money elsewhere but choice "Skar Audio" not for there lackluster customer service but for the brand ..brand name, craftsmanship etc but after all this it's hard for not only bite the bullet but recommend "Skar to anyone else.. my patience and tolerance is thin so imagine someone else that's not tryin to hear or deal with the bs and shady rhetorics of a company that clearly doesn't give 2 shxts about their customer or fan base! I purchased a 8 inch subwoofer November 23rd and in less than a month it. I contacted the company and they did not offer any suitable resolution. I purchased an 8 inch subwoofer from Skar audio thinking it was an upcoming name brand, so I felt like supporting the company by purchasing a speaker to try out, I felt the price for the speaker, around $80 dollars, a good buy for a potential good speaker. I filed a complaint online with the company but they stated that since it was over the 30 since purchase all I could is send it in. That might be a policy but if a product is only good for 30 days then that only goes to show they do not stand by the product they make then that is not a good company and my business is not deserved. I want the speaker to be replaced and I want a refund. You might not think this is fair but I don't think the trouble I have through to get a resolution is fair. I hope my dissatisfaction is not long term. Thank you

Cancelled multiple orders minutes after confirmation on different payment platforms resulting in a lot of funds put on hold. Told to use paypal. This is a scam where they force you to use paypal. no matter the method of payment they will cancel, put a hold on your funds, No customer service support as it is "temporarily not active due to high call volume" and only able to be reached by email where you will get an automated message. On both of my cancelled purchase (1 with no explanation of cancellation) the response to my emails were both the same automated msg, with an added sentence telling me my only option was to use paypal. they are doing what they can to push yo to move your funds through paypal only. If they are legitimate, they sure do have a long way to go to compete with competitors. ive never ever had this happen or never have i been FORCED to use paypal. Who knows if my funds, totalling over a grand, will ever be released. What a headache.

Skar Audio I purchased an item on Amazon

I purchased an item on Amazon. It was a refurbished subwoofer from skar audio. The subwoofer was blown right from the start. I always check this kind of equipment with a digital volt meter to make sure everything works as it should. When I hooked it up it gave me a zero reading when the reading should have been 2 ohms per voice coil. I don't understand how they could let something go out to a customer without fully inspecting the product especially if it was refurbished, that means they had to work on it because it broke already. At this point it's just a 50lbs paper weight because it doesn't work! This was no fault of my own as i haven't even had this item for 12hrs. I also informed the company SKAR AUDIO that I want a refund so I can purchase a brad-new subwoofer because I most definitely do not trust there workmanship on refurbished products! I just cant understand how this would ever make it out of the door blown! It's not that it's missing something or got damaged in shipping

Company and specially the vp Jordan A. says I wasn't signed up on the website before I bought products. Which as you can see from my screenshots emails from Skar that is a lie. Also they sent me a broken box the shipping box is fine it's on the rim of the speaker box where the speaker gets drilled into it's cracked all the way to the corner of the wood. They said I can return it but it's a 80 lb box. How can I ship it back. I'm a veteran with a bad back. How I have been treated by their customer service dept and Jordan I'm disgusted that I ever put money in men's pocket with this type of customer support and respect. Claiming to stand behind their products. But after 10 emails they won't do what's right. I don't want anything from them. Not sending anything back and I don't want rewards or a refund. I just want everyone to know I'd rather lose my money then to ever speak to them again. Take a look at these screenshots. This is how the respond and treat people. It's a continual run around just like their previous ComplaintsBoard.com claims against them. They are simply the worst!

In regard to the reward points referenced in your case, unfortunately, purchases made prior to registering your account for points are not eligible to receive rewards points retroactively. It is a requirement that an account be registered to receive the points prior to purchasing and that the customer is logged into the account at the time of their purchase with the registered email address. To be fair to all customers who never had an opportunity to purchase and receive points prior to the creation of the Rewards Points program, we only provide points for purchases that were made when enrolled prior to the purchase. As we were at the time that you provided us with the information regarding your Skar Audio enclosure being damaged upon arrival, we are sorry to hear that this has happened to you. We are more than happy to accept this for a return including providing you with a prepaid shipping label to return the enclosure as can be seen in our attached email conversation as we provided instructions on how to return the enclosure to us. We are still more than happy to have this enclosure returned and refunded for the original purchase price so you are not charged for a defective item should you change your mind. Also as you can see from their website they claim to only have 1 one star review. No 2 star reviews. So their system automatically deletes 1-2 star reviews. You can see on their website where other customers have complained also and had their reviews deleted. Do you think this company only had 1, 1 star review in years? After checking my options with my attorney it seems that company's that takes down bad reviews are breaking the law. And I will be in contact with the Nevada and Florida attorney generals with this evidence. In the meantime we will be drafting a lawsuit against Skar audio for misrepresentation of product, services, and altering and/or deleting the bad reviews of customers which is against federal and state of California laws. These people are liars and cheats. Please look at attachments and you can clearly see they are lying. These people think rules don't apply to them and they make them up as they go. They have horrible customer service and I will not stop going up the chain until this matter is resolved. The more they fight back against me the further I'm willing to go.
