Sierra Living Concepts review: Think twice before buying — especially if you’re ordering custom furniture

We spent about **$8,000** on a custom armoire and dresser from Sierra Living Concepts and waited **six months** for delivery. The armoire arrived as one large, assembled piece that wouldn’t fit through our bedroom doorway. No one told us before purchase that it would be built this way.

We paid extra for white-glove delivery, yet the delivery team said they had no instructions for disassembling and reassembling the armoire. When we contacted Sierra Living Concepts, they didn’t offer a practical solution. We were told to put it in another bedroom or return it and pay a **40% restocking fee**.

That left us facing a choice between losing roughly **$3,500** or keeping an expensive piece of furniture in a room it wasn’t bought for. We expected a high-end furniture company—and a paid white-glove service—to help address a problem like this. Instead, we felt dismissed and left to deal with the consequences ourselves.

This experience has been infuriating and deeply disappointing. I would not buy from Sierra Living Concepts again, and I’d urge anyone considering a large custom piece to get written answers beforehand about how it will be delivered, whether it can fit through your doorways, what white-glove service actually includes, and what the return fees are. Our experience was a costly lesson.
