The Smart Cooker Induction Cooking Station was purchased from ShopHQ on February 22, 2022. After attempting to use it a few times it became apparent something was wrong. By late spring/ early summer it stopped functioning properly. As the product was under warranty we contacted the manufacturer and were told to return it (at our expense - $19.99 via UPS). After several weeks without any response we began trying to contact the company - Tristar Products Inc only to discover their contact information was invalid. Through ShopHQ we ultimately found a way to contact the company. They have changed their name to Trend Makers Inc and have a new telephone and address. After contacting them and Emailing back and forth - proof of purchase, receipt, model number at al, Trend Makers Inc Emailed, and I quote... "If the Shaq Smart cooker is not working you may have to purchase a new unit." Seriously?! This is how they handle a warranty? Too bad; you're stuck; you're out of luck! Give us more money and we'll send you another one?!
Desired outcome: 1st Option: A new, properly functioning, Smart Cooker. 2nd Option: A refund of my original purchase price - $64.96 and the $19.99 shipping paid on August 25, 2022 to return the faulty unit.
