July 17, 2022 I had to call for a tow as my vehicle’s engine had blown up 20 miles outside of Las Vegas. After three hours of being left on the highway, Prestige Towing arrived. The tow truck driver, Jonathan, very much aware of my stress due to being stranded for over three hours in the heat, suggested I use their repair company, (Savage Auto Repair) which was located in the towing company’s back lot. On the way back into town Johnathan spoke with Aman from Savage Auto Repair, several times, who said he was working that day, Sunday.

July 18, 2022 I spoke with Aman who said I had a blown “head gasket “due to no fluid in the radiator. I advised him of my recent repairs and was informed the previous repair person had removed a hose from the radiator to install the part and did not replace the fluids they had drained out causing the problem. Aman informed me it would take a week to repair the problem.

At the end of the week I was informed it was not a “head gasket” repair, but I need an entire new engine, which would take another week. After being quoted a charge of $5,708.99 to replace the engine another call was placed to me I would have to pay additional charges to repair the radiator with the bill now amounting to $6,077.30. After paying for all of the repairs I noticed the vehicle was leaking what turned out to be coolant and power steering fluid on the floor of my garage. There was also a lot of grease inside the vehicle on the driver’s side floor and carpet. When I asked Aman about it he said he got the vehicle that way. This was not possible as I was present when Priority Towing dropped the vehicle off to Savage Auto Repair and no one else had access to the vehicle. Aman made no apologies or attempts to clean the carpet.

On Saturday, July 30th, after calling and speaking with Aman I returned to his shop. I spent an hour there. He said there was nothing leaking, even though I had sent him pictures and had a garage full of coolant. I had to drive to Utah for a business appointment. When I arrived I attempted to open the hood to check my fluid levels, but could not do so because the latch lock on my vehicle was stuck. I had someone help me open the hood only to learn the hood would now not close as the latch was broken along with hood latch release cord and I had to drive back to Vegas with an unlatched hood. I was terrified. If the hood happened to fly open at freeway speeds I could have been killed. With help I tied the hood closed. I called Aman several times on Sunday and texted him. He did not return my calls or text. On Monday, after calling Aman again, he said he would repair the vehicle and to bring it back to him.

At 4PM I returned to Savage Auto Repair along with my friend. I expressed by concerns and the numerous problems/damage to my vehicle, to include an engine which is not a rebuilt, but appears to have come from a junk yard, (this was also confirmed by the next mechanic who worked on my vehicle) a broken cable on the hood release, hood latch which would not lock, all clips missing from all cover parts, caps missing from the overflow (which was new and had been cut off), cap missing from windshield fluid container, and housing around the timing belt was warped. Aman refused to make any repairs and said he had the right to refuse me service (this statement was witnessed, and I also have this statement in a text message. At this point I left because he was unwilling to fix the damage he had caused.

I then took my vehicle to Sunset Auto where they confirmed the damage on the vehicle, listing parts which were damaged or not repaired correctly. The owner of Sunset Auto felt he would be involved in a lawsuit if he were to repair the vehicle and suggested I find another shop.

I now have another mechanic working on the vehicle. I personally watched him take everything apart as he explained things which had not been done causing damage and things which had been done incorrectly to include three bolts missing from the install of the engine, hose not replaced although I was billed for these repairs, and the line on the power steering fluid had been broken and super glued back together. The mechanic working on my vehicle now thinks it may be possible Aman destroyed he main computer board in my vehicle. At this point there are numerous items under the hood which have been damaged.

Have pictures and witnesses.

Desired outcome: Refund of all charges.
