My husband and I joined Sapphire/Starpoint Resorts Timeshare during a vacation in Las Vegas in July 2019. Since joining the resort, my husband has had several out of town business trips. He tried to contact RCI to book a hotel in Jacksonville Florida. RCI stated they had nothing in that location. My husband asked if they had a hotel in a neighboring town; again the answer was no. That was the first red flag because during the presentation, Sapphire boasts they have hundreds of hotels all over the U.S.

We were promised a free vacation in Hawaii that we were unable to take advantage of because of the Pandemic. When we questioned Sapphire about the trip that we missed, we were told that the offer had expired.

As of the present date, we have been placed in the grips of a collection agency due to defaulting on the loan. We had no idea we were in default status until the collection agency contacted us. Sapphire Resorts never contacted us by mail or cellphone during the height of the Pandemic to this date regarding falling into a default status with the loan.

I feel as if we have been duped into a web of lies and tricks. I asked the resort why they didnt just contact me to let me know that within thirty days I would fall into a default status. Thier response to me was I should have read my contract. If the company was legit, they would write you and tell you where you stand and what you can do to correct the problem. We alll fall behind in bills, especially since he Pandemic. If there is money due, any company would write you to inform you what the consequences would be if the bill is not paid.

In my opinion, the practices of Sapphire Resorts need to be investigated. This company misrepresents what they can offer their customers, thier customer service representatives are very rude and unprofessional. The entire experience has been nothing but a headache.

Desired outcome: I would like for my loan to be taken out of the collection agency and let me settle the loan directly with the Resort.
