Saks Fifth Avenue - Michael Aram

Ordered an item online, realized I entered the wrong address (Ordered more than one item going to two addresses - one was a gift). Called customer service to change address and was told that could not be done, however, the agent said they could cancel that portion of the order and I could reorder. I requested and confirmed that it was indeed cancelled and I would see this in the system in 24 hrs. Two days later, no cancellation was evident. Called customer service to ask again and they said there was nothing they could do about it. No one even contacted me to let me know! Not even an email that there was a continued issue. I was curtly informed the item was being shipped from a 3rd party and it was no longer their responsibility! I ordered from Saks. Not Michael Aram. The agent couldn't have been more removed from the responsibility that the order did not cancel even with the notation that I had called and confirmed. No offer to correct the problem either. I don't know what happened to the Saks of my youth. If I go to the store, everyone is great. Call customer service, and this is a consistent pattern, about a problem they are of no help nor do they even appear to try. The item is now going to an address in which I can not retrieve the item. Upon informing the agent she asked if "I had a friend who could". Really? Gee - I didn't think of that. Sigh. The cost-cutting measures they are taking by outsourcing their call center is going to cost cut them out of business. They should enable their customer service staff to effect change and solve issues. BTW - I spend ~$5000 to $10K a year at Saks. I guess that is not appreciated. And to conclude, I asked the supervisor at the call center to try contacting the vendor again and please email me ASAP. She said "No". They have no way of doing that. She said "No" twice. Guess that is their favorite word.
