Safeway

This is regarding a disturbing and inappropriate experience with employee Craig in the deli.

Yesterday afternoon at about 12:50pm I was in the store at the deli to get some lunch meat. There were two employees, an older white man and a woman, across the deli near the register talking and laughing while I was standing waiting. This went on for too long as they were not paying attention to working at all, ignoring customers.
Then an Asian man who was working the back saw I was waiting, thankfully. He walked over to get the man's attention but he was busy socializing with the woman coworker. The man ignored him for a few seconds then finally turned to the man trying to get his attention to help me.
This man, Craig, acted dramatically exasperated as he sharply said "what?!" and then made some incredibly racist noises at the man as he was indicating there were customers waiting. The noises were disgustingly racist, obviously taunting and making fun of the Asian man.

As he lumbered over to help me, he was cold and unfriendly. I took note of the name in his name tag: Craig. He made me feel like I was bothersome for interrupting his laughing and socializing with his woman coworker. He barely said a word to me.

I cannot express how taken aback and stunned I was to hear those disgusting derogatory, racist noises hurled toward his coworker, who was apparently the only one in the deli paying attention.

This man, Craig, has no business working anywhere near the public. Safeway is better than employing simeone with an attitude like this, especially paired with obvious racism as of that is normal behavior. Witnessing that was extraordinarily disturbing and something needs to be done about Craig.

I could not in good conscience not say something after witnessing Craig's disrespectful racism.
