My dad purchased a flat iron Royale tourmaline giraffe from a kiosk at this Mall and paid $150.00 + tax, but when I opened it at home it was not the same product the saleswoman had sold to us. She said it was the authentic brand new Royale flat iron (the ones sold online were used she said), but when I opened the box and tried to use the flat iron (hair straightener) I notice it doesn't have the heat settings as she said it had, even though on the box it describes that the temperature settings varies from 250 F to 450 F. I was very disappointed and went online to check the website royale.com and there is one for the U.S. too. I read the warning in their website that says for customers to be aware of counterfeit that were sold online, and for my amazement I found the same product (Royale tourmaline giraffe) at Amazon.com for $37.00 ! The same product without the temperature setting, so I'm not sure if it is the original or not.
All the things the saleswoman said was not true, she just wanted to sell the product; she said there is 5 years warranty, but she fail to say that we have to pay to use the warranty and there are 5 different prices. She also said that if I drop the flat iron on the ceramic floor and the plates broke the warranty would cover, but the website says they don't cover for that ! I don't understand what warranties are for then! She also said I didn't need to register online my product, but the website says that I have to otherwise my warranty will not be validated! So my dad went to the mall to return the product today, and the lady refused to return our money, and apologized for the mistake and gave him another flat iron, but from a totally different brand that I've never heard before. My dad didn't have his reading glasses on so only when he came home he could read what she wrote on the receipt, which is "customer brought a defective product that was USED, and got exchanged for a brand new one." I believe that what she wrote will invalidate the warranty!

Bought the ROYALEPRO straightener and the product lasted for less than a month. The cord was attached to a very flimsy plastic. It also shorted my bathroom. I tried to return it but they wanted to charge me usd 29 more to replace. Marketed as a high*end product but is very cheaply made. Very disappointed. Do not buy this product.
