My truck was tied up at Rich's business for more than a month, sitting outside unlocked waiting to be repaired. They had the transmission rebuilt by another business, Ultimate Transmission. The transfer case also should have been rebuilt but Rich installed a used case instead at a cost of $1645 parts and labor. This used case never was cleaned as promised prior to installing it in my truck. Therefore, I don't know if they were aware that it was defective. After less than 100 miles at a cost of $2638 by Ultimate Transmission it had to be rebuilt a second time. Rich claims there is only a 30-day warranty on the used case. Most of that time was spent sitting on his lot waiting for a transmission leak to be fixed so the 30-day warranty should not apply since I was taking it back to him every week, and he never could fix the leak. I finally took it back to Ultimate Transmission and they fixed it quickly. They then discovered the replaced transfer case was trashed and needed to be replaced again and I paid for this part and labor a second time. I brought this to Mr. Pedraza's attention to no avail.
I feel he should stand behind his work and reimburse me for the used defective transfer case that he chose to install.
Desired outcome: I feel he should stand behind his work and reimburse me for the used defective transfer case that he chose to install.
