Richardson is currently in the early process of building my daughter and her husbands home. I have been in construction for the last 28 years and believe you me; even though I am only getting involved when asked, I will be watching this project very closely! I have already warned them about "change orders"! I will be checking into all subcontractors that I see on-site. I'm hoping for the best...good luck Richardson Homes.

All of these comments about my (Dennis Lee) personal life are completely false and untrue. I have personally tried to contact all three of the screen names that are saying these things about me via email and haven't gotten a single response. I have NOT been married 4 times nor am I dating a Hooters girl currently. Yes I used to visit Hooters once or twice a month for lunch but since the first comment on this website I have not been back in there which has been over 3 months ago. My attorneys are in the process of tracking down who these people are and legal action will follow. I am the proud owner of Richardson Homes we built 53 custom homes last year alone and had zero complaints. These types of websites are supposed to be for customers who have had bad experiences from purchasing a product to voice their opinions not to make false acquisitions about the owner of a companies personal life. In a few days look for richardson homes family man dennis lee on youtube.com we were celebrating my nephews 21 birthday within the last couple of weeks at one of his favorite places and you will not believe what we captured on video. One of his framers told me he got married about 6 months ago to a girl 15 years younger than him and when you watch the video you will see a close up of his wedding ring and the girl he has his hands all over is not the one he married. Once we watched this we knew he was not the family man he says he is and from what I have been told he has been married 5 times. He is a drunk, listen closely to what he is saying to the young girl he has his hands on. My nephews friend works at Hooters and all the girls have a bet on who will get the next boob job, I guess he is known for that! Just watch the video or ask anyone at Hooters and they will tell you what kind of family man he really is. If you want a builder you can trust call anyone BUT RICHARDSON HOMES. I recommend Larry Russell.

I've had 4 custom homes built. One by Tom Vorderlandwehr, one by Richardson, one by Larry Russell, and one by Jim Quigley. First home was by Vorderlandwehr, and I was very happy with the product. For the size of the home, the woodwork was outstanding and the price was competitive. Tom was easy to work with and knowledgeable. Second home I tried to save some money and went with Richardson homes. I had that home bid by multiple builders and Richardson was about $20K less than everyone else. I later found out why... they underbid the house to get it. They whacked me for over $15K in extras. Thats not even counting my overages on allowances, because they did not give me enough to even buy anything but the lowest end of appliances on a $350K house. Despite assuring me that they had given me more than enough to buy an upper middle range appliance before we started. I should have known when their allowances were substantially lower than the other builders bids. Over the next year I had multiple problems and multiple sheetrock cracks and other minor problems. Understandable that it happens, but they put me off for months at a time and finally after multiple calls and letters they finally repaired the problems. 4 years later I had to totally tear out the shower and redo it because of their shoddy build. Tile began to fall off the walls, and there was mold everywhere. I immediately fixed that problem and sold the house. I then had Larry Russell build me a house and the experience was fantastic. Probably one of the only builders around that actually knows how to frame and trim his houses. The woodwork was amazing. Once again I upsized after a few years and this time purchased a spec home from Jim Quigley that was about half completed. The house is gorgeous but Quigley was very hard to deal with from a personality standpoint. Very crude and uppity. Love the house though. If I do it again I'll go with Tom Vorderlandwehr or Larry Russell. I also hear Jim Bauer is good. I'll never let Richardson do another home and I tell everyone I know to stay away. Hell just watch the commercials, you tell the owner just does not seem intelligent, and he's not. I'm not sure he knows a thing about structural integrity, he just knows how to sub out work, and substandard work at that.
I know Jim Bowers and Jim Quigley homes very well and they both are much better builders than the others you mentioned here .
These are the same two people that complain everywhere they possibly can about Richardson Homes. Prior to Richardson building my families home in 2010 I searched for weeks. The only complaints you can find are the same two people and if you call the BBB or the Central Oklahoma Homebuilders Assoc you will see that both of these home went two mediation and had third party home inspections and both came back great. Richardson Homes does amazing work with amazing quality at the best price in the state period! This is just an example of a couple people trying to get out of having to pay for what they couldn't afford. All these two groups of people want is money from Richardson and no one including the BBB and COHBA will even listen to them so now they are trying to do damage to the best name in homebuilding in Oklahoma. Thank you Thank you Thank you ... I didn't want to be the only that complained. I just found your complaint and I agree with what the other builder told you. You are wise to check things out.
My wife and I were going to use these guys to build our home until we found so many of these types of complaints online...Thank you for going to the trouble to say something. So many of these companies get away with screwing over the average person. When we talked to our current builder about them, he basically said that only a fool would let them build a house. They have the worst reputation among the builders of everybody, they scam their customers by using the worst of the worst contractors that the reputable companies won't hire.
