After reviewing multiple customer experiences with Copper Silver Insurance Agency, it is evident that many customers have faced significant issues. From unexpected rate increases to poor customer service and claim handling, the overall sentiment is negative. Customers have reported feeling deceived, mistreated, and dissatisfied with the services provided. Considering the consistent negative feedback, it is advisable to explore other insurance options that prioritize transparency, fair pricing, and excellent customer support.

Progressive Signed up and was quoted a price and then was charged

Signed up and was quoted a price and then was charged $30/month more. I would say it was pure bait and switch. I was able to cancel it but what a hassle. I don't know if this a normal practice but felt pretty shady. They were given all accurate info from the beginning then charged my card more without explanation.

Progressive 30% increase in 1 year

Progressive insurance just increased my annual auto premium by 30%. Never had an accident, never had a claim, never had any tickets on my license (in over 30 years). I just paid the monthly bill when I realized the increase, so I switched to another insurance and they advised me they can't cancel my policy more than 30 days out, so I have to call back in 1 week to cancel my policy.

Progressive Run save yourself!

I had relocated and I called progressive to switch states, I ended up changing companies because the rate was ridiculous for a 40 year old with no accidents or tickets etc. they told me the policy was canceled. Then I received a bill the following month. I called back they then told me I had to email them proof I was insured with another company to cancel my policy in North Carolina . I asked why I wasn’t informed of this , and then told it was canceled . they told me that the person who helped me probably didn’t know North Carolina policy. We’ll What is someone doing handling a policy in a state where they don’t know the policies. Yet they’re still expecting me to pay for a month where I was told it was canceled. I then did send the email they asked for 3-4 different times, received email back each time that it was received still couldn’t get it canceled. I didn’t pay it because of the principal of it all. They never canceled my policy until my bill went unpaid for a month and only because of lack of payment they canceled my policy. They are now threatening to send it to collections. I have been on the phone with them several times I get nowhere. They refuse to waive the bill for their mistake.

Progressive Requested Roadside Assistance; app tells me I'm not in the USA

There is a major bug that prevents submissions for roadside assistance because the location is determined to be outside the USA when Apple Maps clearly had located me in the USA. This required me to call and be processed through vm hell. Once my phone request was submitted I'm unable to track the progress of my tow service through the app. The services are totally disconnected. That would be ok if their text services sent notifications on time. Instead, I got phone calls and texts from Progressive after the local service provider was already at my vehicle. Since the phone rep estimated it would take 90 minutes to get assistance I left the scene and got dinner. All in all a poor moment of truth for Progressive in the app, on the phone, via text. These systems need major user experience overalls and testing. Shame on them. Prior experiences paying bills and reviewing my policy have worked as they should, but only two stars because when I needed Progressive most, they failed me.

Also note to the developer team responding to reviews, I submitted my bug to your team through the app feedback button first. Your team replied asking me for personal information over email that has no relevance to a bug report with no additional follow up questions about the bug.

Progressive Do not use progressive

I was with progressive for five years. I never missed a payment and my payments were always on time. I watch my rate constantly go up. I called several times to get my rate lower and they kept telling me it was do to an increase in my area. In Jan. I added a new car to my policy and my rate doubled. I expected it to go up but never thought it would double. When I called and asked why the agent told me it was because of the car I added. After talking to my husband we started looking for a new insurance company. (I have never wrote a review for a company before but I thought people should now how much Progressive is over charging their customers.) I found a new insurance company! With progressive I only had two cars insured and was paying over 2000.00 every six month. With new company I have three cars two teenagers added and renters insurance and pay less then 1500.00 every six months. Remember I was with progressive for five years and was always told I was a value customer but was never given any reductions on my insurance. My rates just keep going higher and higher. I’m not even going to get into how they treated me when I left except to say it was awful! They just continue to give me a run around on why I owed them more money with no direct answers. Please shop around before you choose them!

Progressive Can be better- progressive scams people

Signed with progressive in March, and the policy was canceled in April! They are honestly scamming people since the policy couldn’t be reinstated and will have to start a new one!
This app is pretty basic and really doesn’t do much. The only thing I was using it for was to check the snap shot data it was collecting and double check when my auto draft was happening. The reason I am frustrated with this app and progressive in general is that my auto policy was canceled by underwriting due to my self not calling in to RE- VERIFY basic a*** questions. Maybe these “questions” should be included in the snap shot device when it comes in the mail, or HELLOOOO ON THE progressive app, (not the snap shot app!) This seems like a ridiculous reason to cancel a policy, WHEN YOU HAVE A PERFECTLY GOOD APP TO UTILIZE! Do you know the other part that really gets under my skin is that I was in contact with progressive two times before this occurred. One being I got into an accident 4 days after I got my policy. The second being I needed help with signing documents for a renters policy why wasn’t this notated anywhere in my profile saying HEY! this person needs to call underwriting for stupid questions!
***Be aware if you were downloading this app after you receive a snapshot and thinking everything is OK everything‘s fine you’re all set, THINK AGAIN... I I would call progressive and ask for underwriting just to verify everything is OK.

Progressive Decent app but could be better

I have been with progressive for almost 8 years now. I just reached their diamond level and was excited to see if I had any rewards/rate reductions. To my shock, my premium had gone up AGAIN for the 4th time in 6 months. No I don’t have any active claims, haven’t had any accidents at all. Not even a traffic ticket. Ever! A couple years ago I had a guy ding the side of my brand new vehicle. I got his name, phone number, and license plate number. Long story short, the progressive rep spam-called me while I was at work one day. I tried to get in touch with him, but his voicemail said he was gone on vacation for the weekend…?!? Never heard anything back from him. Tried calling to ask for a different rep to be assigned and they said “the case was closed”. Needless to say, I didn’t get paid out one red cent or even a follow up call or piece of paperwork in the mail.
When I called them recently to ask about my premium increases, the lady was very polite, but also very laid-back and unbothered. She told me it was because of ‘state wide increases’, everything is expensive now speech, blah blah blah very vague. But after reviewing my account, she declared she could get my rate lowered. Four dollars. That was it. From an 85 premium to 115 in 6 months. I just checked today and they raised it back up to 111. Not happy.
As for the app, it can be very buggy. It forgets my log in all the time and the face unlock is buggy. Some of the features are difficult to access. And if you have spotty service, you’re basically screwed when you’re broke down. when you click a lot of the features, it makes you go to the Internet version instead of viewing on the app. I don’t understand why they even give you the option. I can’t believe I’m saying this because I really used to love this insurance. But I am forced to look elsewhere as I simply can’t afford to keep paying $120 a month for car insurance in a very rural area where I drive maybe 3 to 5 miles a day.

Progressive Progressive - never again

I have had progressive for over 3 years, no accident no tickets. My sister had an emergency one day and had to use my car, unfortunately had a bumper to bumper minor accident. The claims representative never got a hold of me instead sent me a letter via mail that indicated to call her once we got the letter. It took 3 days to get her to answer and when she did she had me on speaker and the call kept cutting off. Once we established that my sister was at fault and she got the police report she asked me if I wanted to add her to my insurance. After the accident things got a bit rough between her and I so chose not to add her. AS IF I HAD THE OPTION. This was mid month on August, September 1st she decided to move out. I get an email stating I have to pay DOUBLE my monthly payment because I now have my sister on the policy. I called to clarify and report she had moved out. I was sent to the Underwritting department where a very friendly worker provided me with the email to the process on how to remove her. I called 1 week later to inform them I was ready to submit information and proof, I got the rudest worker ever from the Underwritting dept. she basically said that she doesn’t trust what I am saying and that she doesn’t “FEEL” comfortable removing my sister off my insurance. I asked her if her decision is based off on personal feelings and opinions or policy since I can PROVE she does not live with me. She stated they follow policy but have the right to use their own decision. So I requested a supervisor and was told it took 48 hours. Insurance is in case of, but when that in case of happens they treat you like a criminal and make you feel taken advantage of. Accidents happen but I refuse to pay for an insurance that called me a liar and is using their personal opinion rather than facts. It is a disservice to me and I officially cancelled my renewal today and headed to Geico. Better rates! I don’t mind paying for quality but progressive is a scam. Never again !

Progressive Not the best insurance company

we purchased a new home and someone came to the house when we were gone to take photos which is normal from what I was told. Well they took a picture of some little mutt dog my kid has and “apparently progressives personnel are also experienced vets.” They are even better then my real vet who takes care of my animals because progressive looked at the dog and said it’s a pit bull which is an excluded breed by them. Even though they have commercials about being dog friendly. Well my vet and another vet did blood test and wrote letters assuring them the dog was not a pit Bull but they didn’t believe the educated vets and went off of what some insurance guy with a camera said! So we received a letter a month after we purchased our home that we were being dropped by progressive!

Then they upped our car insurance because we weren’t in a package anymore and tried taking more money then originally agreed without any type of warning! I had a busted window on one of my vehicles so I called to see if they covered during the survey for new insurance well of course it wasn’t covered like some at no cost go figure but I told them not to file a claim but they did anyway so now I can’t go switch insurance until the claim drops!

My wife tried to call progressive on both items and they seemed to be the most ill informed, incompetent people I have ever had to deal with! No one could answer questions, the underwriters who apparently are experienced veteneriants more than the real vets that went to school and own their business wouldn’t even get on the phone to explain how they made their conclusion on the animal even with evidence to the contrary!

No I pay 85.00 a month on my homeowners insurance and about 100.00 on car insurance because I can’t bundle all with one company! I look forward to dropping this company as soon as I can and I have and will continue not to recommend them to anyone we are also ASPCA supporters and members and we are working with them to make people aware of progressive in regards to breed specific items when they false advertise to cover animals in a TV add! We hope we can show people they are just another corrupt business! Be on the lookout for flyers, and interviews as well as articles!

Progressive Most Fraudulent company, Progressive

Progressive is the most fraudulent company I have ever had the misfortune of being a customer who they tried to absolutely ROB blind, but luckily I will not let them and not only have I switched auto insurance companies but I am writing this review in hopes that I can save you from progressive! I had auto insurance with progressive just over a year, I had one accident where I provided proof in pictures that I was hit and they decided to secretly say that it was my fault. I never knew about this until recently. How sneaky and underhanded of them! Not only that but the progressive auto insurance building that I took my car too in San Antonio TX on horizon hill Blvd was also a bunch of sneaky underhanded scammers who not only refused to fix my vehicle even though I had full on coverage to the max! They not only decided to falsely put me at fault, but totaled out my car as unfixable when all it needed was a bumper. Not only that but my car was there overnight and they rolled down all my windows when they knew it was raining outside and all my seats got wet. I had to make an additional claim which I received $150.00 for that took about 6 months to receive in the mail. Just around the time I received my congratulatory post card on the mail from progressive of being a one year customer, they started billing me every 14 days as opposed to every 30 days. This was an interesting shock, inquired about the time frame and they had every possible excuse in the book as to why I was being billed so often. The bill was 185.00 every two weeks. Most recently I got my bill down to 130.00. I decided not to pay and see what sort of late charge they would come up with. A $55 late charge! The bill overnight was suddenly $185.00. I finally had proof that they were making up random numbers, charging what they felt like, and most importantly being frauds! I let them know I was overjoyed to be canceling with them, and switching to a decent and more reasonable car insurance company. Which, even though progressive thinks that placing at fault in an accident that I was not at fault for, I have a message for you progressive... what is that Cardi B song? Bodak yellow? How does it go? Lol! Happy to never look back and move forward with my new auto insurance who I have already spoken to and is very decent. Chow!

Progressive Gutted to be a customer

Deeply disappointed with how progressive managed my claim.

I had a car theft on the day of my B'day, when I was on a vacation with my wife of 10 months. I was in a new town and was in utter shock when I called progressive given from what was stolen in the car theft was a bag which had our Indian passports.

Progressive did not agree to pay because I had a 1000$ Deductible, which is fine because I never expected progressive to pay for it.

The absolute least and literally the least progressive could have done was help me get a good dealer to fix my broken car window in the new town in the midst of all the chaos.

Instead all progressive cared about was to make money, they recommended an appointment with Safelite.

The next available appointment was 5 days after the incident. They quoted me a price of "512 USD" to fix the quarter window of my Kia Soul (Valued at 7500 USD at Carmax). They also in these exact words say the following to me

"If you try to reach safe light without progressive the quote could be around 1000 USD".

I decided to hold this appointment off. In absolute shock I reached my hotel after an hour of phone conversation with progressive rep doing nothing but wasting my time.

When I reached out to safelite on my own they offered me a quote of "480 USD", yes "480 USD" not a "1000 USD".

I decided then to not do anything that progressive rep told me instead look for vendors online. I found a local dealer with exceptional reviews, who on the next morning visited my hotel without any additional charges and installed the window for me at a stunning "212 USD". Yes "212 USD".

I'll be doing the following things post this incident.

I am immediately looking for a different insurance company.
Rating my experience with progressive on google.
Sharing my horrible experience with progressive with anyone and any platform I find my hands on.

I do not blame the Claim rep I haven't even had the heart to speak one word, with the claim rep. But I absolutely am irked with progressive a multi multi billion dollar company failing to provide the littlest human help to someone in need who has been a customer for over 2 and half years and never filed a claim / always paid the premium before hand and is supposedly some worthlessly titled "Gold Member" whatever that means.

No explanation is easy to repair what I feel about progressive, I don't need any replies for this message if possible.

Progressive Developers: Add Summary of Communication/Pics in Claim Tab

-To Developers: Please add to “Claim Summary” in “Claim” tab, the ability to view ALL communication/Pics sent. Customer-sent messages “vanish”/are not accessible for viewing on mobile app once sent. (Using iPhone.) Possibly auto-send message thread to email, like Google-Chats, for example, so the history of communication can be later referenced. This is an IMPORTANT detail in ensuring claim communication is thorough.
-To Potential Customers: I switched to Progressive from 15+ years at Geico specifically for its home/car bundling discount, positive app reviews, and 24/7 service representative accessibility. And, yah, I’m a fan of Pam, LOL. Apples to apples price comparison is pretty close, and I unfortunately found out through a claim (accident 3 days ago) that I was not covered for any rental car discounts. This question was not posed during a very thorough/competent quote conversation, and I didn't think to ask. When I add this rental-car-coverage on the policy, the cost will probably match Geico. Progressive Claims Rep DID extend their rental car discount to me “as if they were renting a vehicle”/company discount, and Enterprise Rental rep. shared (without me asking) that its a best rate/discount situation- but IMHO, a total of $41/day (lowest tier economy level vehicle)- is higher than the $30-ish/day with Geico Policy only 2 years ago. Especially considering a probable 14-21 day rental in my situation (totaled/replacing vehicle, unfortunately.) CV Plandemic, and/or inflation, probably affected rental industry rates, but rental rates seem very high now, even with unrelated inquiry last month/Dec 2022, for my father during his vehicle’s mechanical repairs. Otherwise, I’m very satisfied with app & service. One other note: Surprised that the closest “approved” body shop (for expediting work without needs for potentially stopping for adjustor approval) is 17 miles (and TONS of Hartford, CT commuter traffic) away, where Geico has approved shops right in my small town of East Hampton, CT, 3 miles from my house. Of course a customer can get work done anywhere, yet this seems like a disparity btwn the high emphasis on Progressive tv/radio/media marketing posturing, seemingly “being everywhere”, versus actual confirmed, approved professional relationships to body shops/mechanics. Just my opinion. Will update / edit as I continue through the claim experience. If you’ve read this far- well, aren’t you a deep research rock star ;) You Smarty at the Party!

Progressive Read this before choosing progressive

Started a business policy 3 months ago. All of a sudden went to pay my monthly premium and it more than quadrupled in price without any notice. When I reached out to progressive, they said that underwriting found an accident from two years ago.
I explained to them that I was not at fault in this accident, and then it was actually a high school buddy that backed into me in the Home Depot parking lot on accident.
The issue was quickly resolved with our insurance companies with his paying the full amount to fix my vehicle.
First, I was told by progressive that I would just need the Oregon DMV report sent to them so I drove to the DMV and got that and sent it to them. Waited several days and called them to verify that they got it only to have someone tell me that that would not be sufficient information, and that they would need some thing from my insurance carrier at the time on their company letterhead That stated I was not at fault so I reached out to them and I got something on letterhead stating that I was 0% at fault, and the other driver was 100% at fault. I emailed that into them and waited several days and then reached out to verify that they’ve got it and the person they got on the phone this time now stated that I needed the loss run from that time. She was adamant that would be the one piece of paper that would solve all of this and get it taken care of so I reached back out to my old insurance company and ask for the loss run. I emailed the loss run to progressive and waited several days and then reached out to them to verify that they got it. The person that I got on the phone this time said that the loss run would not be enough and that I would need something different. I have emailed them three different things over a four week period. At this point, I feel like all they do is collect funds, and they do not advocate for their customers whatsoever. This is a total joke, progressive. A total joke. You’ve made zero effort to help me out as a customer. You accuse me of being in an accident that I was not in and that’s very clear by the paperwork that I have sent you. I’ve spent hours and hours trying to resolve this with no avail. You should be ashamed of the way you’re doing business.
I would go with a smaller more family oriented company that is not just gonna run you through their corporate ringer. That’s exactly what I got. Run through the corporate ringer time and time again. Different answers from different people every time I called. None of them held accountable for anything that they said. It’s almost like they just wanna transfer you or get you off the phone and not deal with the situation. It was a horrible experience.

Progressive Without an attorney, Progressive will cheat you!

I made the mistake of not getting an attorney to represent me against my own insurance company. It is so commonplace and acceptable for your own insurance company to do whatever they can to not pay the fair amount to their clients. In short, if you have not committed a crime and were simply a victim of an accident you are wise to hire an attorney who will take 1/3 of the money that is owed to the victim.
I was with progressive for many years and had gotten into a couple accidents which given the amount of years I’ve been driving is totally normal. One time a drunk driver clipped my car and luckily the police arrived in time to arrest her and make a report. When filing the report I remember the agent saying there is a red flag on your policy. Baffled, I asked why the red flag and the agent said because I have a claim so close to the end of my policy expiration date. If there was no police report and the drunk driver got away progressive would have said it was fraud and they wouldn’t have paid anything. Unfortunately the last time I got into an accident it was late at night on the freeway and therefore no witnesses. Progressive towed my car from my house to examine it and said I’m at zero fault and paid a minimal amount for my car damage. At this point I thought they already took my car and found me not at fault so I opted to not get an attorney. Everything was fine until my doctor said the mri shows I have a herniated disk. I kept calling progressive to see when they’re going to pay my claim as I was considering getting an operation or something less traumatic to lessen the pain in my back. The next thing I know is they want to do a deposition and weren’t so nice anymore. I finally hired an attorney because they went from friendly to acting like I’m a bother to them. I agreed to pay my attorney the usual 1/3 to just basically go to the deposition with me but progressive had already decided to not pay me and at the deposition kept asking if I’m working which is irrelevant and then showed a blurry picture of my car and said nobody hit you as you can see in this picture. Luckily I had my phone on me with pictures of my car and where the persons vehicle hit my car. However, it didn’t matter as they had already decided to not pay the claim and call it fraud. That’s after their cheap trick with the fuzzy picture didn’t work and because I initially didn’t hire an attorney. Progressive wouldn’t even let an arbitrator hear the case because once they change their mind and say fraud there is nothing you can do. They are an unethical insurance company that shows there is a good reason people automatically hire an attorney because insurance companies don’t play fair and renege on their contract. I paid my monthly dues every month but when it was their turn to pay I went from zero at fault to fraud. I still have the pictures to prove this and I’m going to whatever entity governs insurance companies to make them pay for lying and going back on the contract. There is no money in it for me as it’s past the two year limit but I want them to pay for their unethical conduct.

Progressive What a disappointment

Listen up Progressive! (And current/future customers.) The Snapshot program is a complete scam. I was penalized for catching red lights on the highway. “Hard brake” penalties every time. I do not use the brakes hard. The lights have no delay and there are cameras. This app is ridiculous. “Fast accelerations” penalties for no reason at all because I have a standard transmission and it isn’t the smoothest sometimes. It is literally impossible not to get a hard brake penalty when a a light suddenly turns red an the speed is 40-55mph. Needs revisions or just scrapped altogether. Stupid that you guys are basing people’s rates off of this battery-draining nonsense. UPDATE. FINAL RESULTS: An increase of $148 to my 6 month policy in addition to the $130 increase for no reason at all. Progressive has incorrectly reported accidents on my record and refuses to acknowledge it. I verified with 2 other insurance companies and have my Clue report in-hand. I can’t even quote other insurance without getting screwed by the mis-reporting and failure to correct it, despite my multiple requests. They also have what has to be the highest priced rideshare insurance in existence. After spending 3 hours on the phone with them in two days and nothing resolved, I’m done. They also recently *droppedmy home insurance because they said they saw a for-rent sign. Been with Progressive for nearly 5 years and I am done. This is just too much B.S. And the email about the collection agency for $22, because you failed to bill me correctly, was just not necessary and disrespectful. I paid ahead, back in May and I paid nearly a month ahead of time for the next 6 months. Never missed a payment, ever. I was promised discounts to this renewal policy, but the agent could only apply them if I gave my credit card number. I stupidly trusted you people, paid, and of course my discounts never showed back up. Two hours on the phone trying to get my policy renewed! Insane! BTW, regarding the used junkyard door you guys put on my car, the window tracks have jammed and the window keeps getting lodged, stuck, rolls up too far, and falls down. The paint on the door is fish-eyed because of the sub-par work your recommended shop did. I’m so angry right now and you people are clueless. You guys also refuse to do your job and get my deductible from the other at-fault driver. Called yesterday and they said it’s “pending.” I’m still waiting, *one yearlater. And *zero*diminished value payouts were given to me for my two not-at-fault accidents, with nearly $9000 in damages to my mint-condition car. (1. Sideswiped by drunk driver)(2. t-boned, driving through a green light). Progressive could not/would not get other driver to accept fault on the 2nd accident. I’m still waiting on my deductible and diminished value payments, Progressive. (I’ll settle for 20% of the value of my car, give me a call...) I hate to write bad reviews, but Progressive brought this on themselves. I canceled my policy this morning. I’ve been nothing but polite to them, despite the incompetence. I’m not a bad customer and still get treated this way. I will spread this story until it is resolved. Please call me to save your reputation. Stay away from Snapshot and don’t trust these people if you care about your car and financial stability.

Progressive Asks for access to your phone’s photos

I can’t believe after making a claim through the app in which you take photos and make a video (yes, to be very clear, through the Progressive app—not photos taken with the iPhone’s Camera app which ends up in the Photos app), but at the very end, after you hit the “submit” button, a window pops up from the Progressive app asking for access to your iPhone’s photos! What kind of [censored]s are running this company? Did they blow all their money on their comedian spokesperson Flo?

Hi NewKreature, thanks for reaching out! At the end of your Photo Estimate, we ask to save the photos to your camera roll so you’ll have copies. This part is completely optional, so that’s why we stick the permission at the end—if you don’t want the photos, you can just decline and move on. If you have other questions about the permissions, we’d love to chat with you. Give us a call anytime, or email us at App_Feedback@progressive.com.

Progressive Impossible

Impossible to login or change your password on the app it says “passwords don’t match” even if they are copied and pasted and the login states your password is incorrect all the time- so I’ve changed it thinking maybe it’d work if I changed it- entered the same password I just re-created and it says it’s incorrect. Progressive needs to fix their app- it’s really difficult to use and the company itself requires so many documents to be submitted and signed all the time so it’d be easier if the app worked.

Progressive Don’t Use for Roadside Assist

I tried to use the app yesterday when I needed roadside assist for a flat tire on my way to work. I entered all of the information and the app indicated my request was submitted successfully. Despite this, I kept receiving text messages indicating there was a delay in my request. Someone finally called and said the request never went through and had to re-enter all of my information over the phone. I was super late for work, stuck in the rain, on a bridge, in the dark-I needed help as soon as possible. Next time I will just call.
