Modify Utah Fraud- update

Thank you to all those that have insight... however please don't salt the wound further with what we could have done. I realize now that this could have been done for free. Had I been properly informed before I along with every other person involved would not be in this mess. As always hindsight is 20/20.
So I contacted my lender today in an attempt to move the modification forward. To my Horror I discovered that Modify Utah had not done a Damn thing. None of my paper work was submitted, and the Fedex packet I sent in to Modify was sent back completely blank with a Dec 08 2010 deadline. My case is being closed due to the failure to submit my information, and I was completely unaware. I began talking with Dax back in March, and spent 4 months scrounging up the initial payment of over 500.00 just to get the ball rolling. Then over the next 6 months I struggled to come up with the money to keep paying them for NOTHING! They did absolutely nothing, and repeatedly lied to me. It's unbelievable what people will do to another for money.
It makes me sick!
In light of this new development it cannot be argued that Modify Utah had an agenda, and working to help all these people was not part of it. THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM AND BREACH OF CONTRACT! WHERE IS THE PROTECTION THE BAILOUTS OR COMPENSATION FOR THE VICTIMS? Why does the system protect the crooks?
I'm appalled by the statements given by Paxton Guymore... that the reason Modify Utah had to close it's doors was due to the fault of it's customers not paying, and the lenders not negotiating.
What a bunch of Bull ###! How can lenders negotiate if the paperwork isn't being submitted? Why wasn't that explained to the media. From the looks of things Alain Templeman was bringing in a great deal of money when you look at all the people now out of on average 3, 000.00 a pop.
I resent the arrogance in the belief that they are untouchable. This has opened a can of worms, and has several highly motivated people behind it. Even if I never see a dime of my money again, I will not stop pushing for reconciliation and a change in a grossly dysfunctional system that no longer protects the innocent but the ones with a Big check book.
Enough... I've been watching this happen to long.
PLEASE THOSE WHO ARE READY TO WORK TOGETHER, COME FORWARD AND LETS COLLABORATE ON A SOLUTION..

Modify Utah Fraud

Modify Utah is a SCAM! I see now several other complaints just like mine. I too am out 3k and need that money back in order to save my house. Any advice is Welcome, I am filing complaints with every agency I can think of.
One I haven't seen noted is the FTC. If we can't get our money back, maybe we can at least send these crooks to Prison for preying on the desperation's of those in need.
I see another agent with the last name Fitts. I wonder if they were even using their real names? I dealt with a Dax Holmstead which I was told was no longer wit the company when I asked to call him out on the Bull ### promises, and misleading information he gave me. The other agent I dealt with was a Hilary Fitts who was so incompetent I can't even begin to describe. Anyone else?
Let us get as many complaints in as possible, and get some answers.

I just saw one of my neighbors lose their home after they had been told they'd received and been paying for a successful loan modification. This is happening everywhere--people are paying companies to get their mortgages modified. The thing is, just like this news story says, getting a mortgage modification is free! You can go with a company offering their services for free, or you can do what we did and do the whole process yourself with your lender. Either way, it is a long process filled with frustration, but the upside of taking care of it on your own is that you know first hand that the work is getting done and the phone calls are being made. See my website: http://www.thejugglinghomemaker.com/search/label/loan%20modification to read about our experiences with this process from start to finish (we were successful). For more tips on how to go through this process you can read this article: http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Get-a-Loan-Modification-to-Save-your-Home These are not advertisements, but things I have learned and experienced first hand. Don't fall for any of those scammers out there!

Modify Utah Modify Utah

n the final stages of getting my loan modification worked out. Now I find out that this morning the company no longer exists. I trusted and paid Modify Utah $3000 to help and represent me lower my current mortgage payment. I am now in danger of losing my house. 8 months I've dealt with them and they dont even bother letting their customers know they are shutting their doors. What to do? Hire an attorney and pay another $3000? This is just a nightmare

Paid them 3k and just heard this morning that, after taking the week off between Christmas and New Years, they are "closed for business." No indication there was any problem and now plonked on my butt with my modification mid-way done with Bank of America. WTF?? Now what?
