Breeder claims dogs are from famous movie bloodlines and use this as a big selling point. Called the breeders listed on the movie credits and they all confirm that IPBs statements are false. They've heard of them and suggested we stay well clear. In addition to those lies, she has a lots of complaints about unhealthy dogs, registration problems and overall bad business practices.

Still doing the same old tricks
As of April 2015, her current email is snowdogs47@hotmail.com, which could change at any time. Don't expect her to respond anyway, less you pretend to be a new customer. As is expected, she does not list a phone number. Too much heat!
Take a close look at the husky breed. They are notorious for escaping basically any backyard, not great at off leash parks as they basically just run and run. They are gorgeous dogs and can be one of the best pets but breed knowledge is an absolute must for this VERY specifically bred working dog.
We see dozens of huskies at the SPCA every year because people buy them for looks, when they realize have limitless energy, are notorious for escaping (up to a 7 foot fence) they turn them in. It is so sad to see a dog being punished for stupid people buying a dog because "their eyees are sooo pretty" It makes me sick to my stomach.
All-in-all I would say that a purebred Husky would be one of the last dogs I would recommend to a new dog owner. If you MUST get one try the local SPCA.
NOTE: I should say, I have nothing personally against Husky, quite the opposite actually. They are specifically bred for running and pulling. Life in the city is torture for them in my humble opinion and IPB is part of the problem.

IPBHuskies has removed thier phone number on her website and does not respond to emails. How can I contact her? She still owes me a $400 on an overpayment. Can someone in Airdrie or Calgary help?
I had to re-home some of Shirley's dogs, she wouldn't take them back. ANY reputable breeder will take back a dog if needed. Clearly shows she's in it for the money. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. Check out your local rescues, they will have huskies or know where you can find one!
By the way I checked out the website, if they are not related to the dogs that performed in the film I promise you the real breeder would have sued by now. So that leaves me in questions if this is not just a person with an anger issue against this poor lady!

If you do some research you will clearly see that the snow dogs from 8 below were not from a Shirley koyczan. She spirts out fast [censored] when it’s really unnecessary….I wonder what this woman is hidding
I can't find a thing on Shawn Ban working for the set. I am wondering if people are not just upset and lashing out here because this one has way too many pages. I think sometimes this site is good and other's people fight amongst each other and give invalid negative reviews. I have yet to see anyone with photo's or paper work backing up any of these claims. There is an attachment section for a reason.
My name is Kim Smiley and I had issues with Shirley. We went to court and our agreement was all I wanted was registration for the two dogs, which Shirley did do. I forgot about the money and thought this was over. It appears that despite her promise of not wriitng the smear stuff she was posting about me would stop, she still feels obligated to blame me for what's happening to her, which is apparent that she has caused this herself. I love Shirley's dogs big or small. She even phoned us on New Years and now she's back to smearing me again. All I can say is she had better stop!
I live down the street from ol' Shirl, amd if you have a deposit with her, what I saw yesterday may be of concern to you.
Starting at 6pm and finishing at 10, Shirley, her sometimes girlfriend Xua, and some others were hurriedly loading up a Uhaul with furniture and stuff from her trailer. Given what they were doing, it looks like they were getting the hell out of Dodge. Given that the cops have been to the place several times in the last week, it's perhaps not surprising.

Breeder sometimes claims to have 42 years ON-LINE experience with huskies. Given that her Facebook page says she's 51, she's been doing it since age nine. Amazing! And not only that. by those numbers she's also had an Internet presence before the Internet as we know it was even invented!
Breeder claims to have upwards of 50 000 customers. Yes 50 THOUSAND! So assuming she has been selling them for 42 years and that's one dog per customer, that's 1190 dogs per year. Or 22 per week. Out of her small trailer in the middle of Airdrie with "one or two breeding pairs" (the later was a statement taken directly from her very website). They must be some tired dogs! By her own lofty personal standards, again stated on her website, she is the very epitome of the Puppy Mill breeder she so openly criticizes.
I phoned the CKC and while they could not comment officially, prior to being kicked out of that organization she was registering 20-30 dogs per years. A far cry from 1190 she is bragging about! And by the way, 1190 dogs per years is defined as a puppy mill by both the CKC and the UKC, the latter whose services she now uses. The UKC is a well known scam organization and there is a well documented case on-line of a person who was allowed to register their parrot as a purebred German Shepard.
Does this pass the smell test? No damn way, it stinks!
An open letter to Shirley Koyczan: So what is the truth? I doubt she'll answer. Or if she does. she's likely to say that this message is monitored by the RCMP and that I'll be going to jail. That seems to be her response to those that call her out for what she is.
