Green Earth Publishing Rude customer service

I ordered 2 banana plants for a friend that came with insufficient directions. My friend asked me if they could be planted outside in zone 6 (they were cold hardy banana plants.) I told my friend that I would I check with the grower. On 10/07/15 I sent an e-mail requesting more information. When I didn't get a response for 2 days, I called on 10/09/15 and spoke to Ted himself. Ted rambled on (reading from the directions sent with the plants), asking me, "what don't you understand about that"...never answering my specific question, "can they go into the ground in Zone 6 at this time?" Then he felt the need to insult me and said that he expected people to have common sense. I reminded that I bought these and was simply calling to get a question answered. Ted began raising his voice, talking louder and then just flat out said, "Do you want your money back? Will that make you happy?" I was not calling to get a refund... only to seek information. He kept repeating "Do you want your money back?" So, yes I accepted the refund. This is the rudest customer service encounter I have ever had - especially since I wasn't calling to complain, I was only calling to seek information. client # [protected]

I wished I had read this site prior to purchasing with Ted. One of the worst people to deal with. He states he is a "passionate grower" and is willing to assist anybody who purchases from him. However his responses are only to blame the customer and has not offer any solution. I too will be seeking a refund just because dealing with this guy is such a pain!

Green Earth Publishing DELAY OF DELIVERY, RUDE REPLY TO EMAIL

I ORDERED TWO PLANTS FROM THIS COMPANY ON 16 APRIL. THE WEBSITE PROMISED THE ORDER WOULD SHIP IN 1-2 DAYS, HOWEVER THEY WERE CURRENTLY HAVING A 2 DAY DELAY IN SHIPMENTS. I CHECKED THE STATUS OF THE ORDER VIA THE LINK THE SELLER PROVIDED ME IN AN EMAIL, AND ON 20 APRIL, IT SAID "WILL SHIP IN 2-3 DAYS." IT ALSO SAID IF I HAD QUESTIONS TO EMAIL THE OWNER, TED. I EMAILED TED ABOUT THE STATUS OF MY ORDER, AND ASKED IF THOSE OF US WHOSE ORDERS WERE DELAYED COULD EXPECT A BONUS FOR WAITING. TED RESPONDED VERY RUDELY. FIRST HE SAID THE PLANTS WERE ON THE WAY. THE HE SAID THE WEBSITE SAID A 3 DAY DELAY, I SHOULD GET THE PLANTS BY THE 23RD, AND ASKED IF HE GOT MORE MONEY FOR ADDING UP THE DAYS! I INFORMED HIM HIS WEBSITE SAID A 2 DAY DELAY, NOT 3. HE SAID RIGHT, IT WOULD BE THE 22ND. I TOLD HIM IT WAS RUDE OF HIM TO TALK TO A PAYING CUSTOMER THE WAY HE HAD, AND EXPLAINED I WAS QUESTIONING MY ORDER AS HE SUGGESTED I DO. HE SAID I WAS THE RUDE ONE, WANTING A FREE PLANT (WHICH I NEVER SAID I WANTED). HE CALLED ME A RUDE CUSTOMER AND SAID TO KEEP MY RUDE COMMENTS TO MYSELF. AND HE SAID TO SEND BACK THE PLANTS UNOPENED BECAUSE HE WAS CANCELLING THE ORDER. I CHECKED MY CREDIT CARD AND HE CHARGED FOR THE PLANTS ON THE 16TH, SO I ASKED HIM HOW HE EXPECTED TO CANCEL MY ORDER. HE SAID ALL RUDE EMAILS GET A "RUDE RESPONCE (SIC)" AND I QUOTE "I DON'T TAKE [censored] FROM ANYONE." I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THIS PERSON AGAIN AND I ADVISE ANYONE WHO DOES SO TO PROCEED WITH CAUTION. WHEN MY PLANTS ARRIVE, IF THEY ARE UNSATISFACTORY, I AM NOT EVEN GOING TO TRY TO DEAL WITH THIS JERK, I AM JUST GOING TO TURN IT OVER TO MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO DEAL WITH HIM. THEY ARE QUITE ADEPT AT GETTING RESULTS.

My wife ordered over 100 dollars worth of plants in early December 2021. He said it would be delayed. Then delayed again. Then it was too cold to ship them according to him. We waited and got a break in the weather where it would be above freezing even into the 40s for over five days. He said if we would take responsibility he would sent the plants so we told him to send them when it was warmer. Two day later he emailed us back and told us he didn't send them. I don't think he even has plants to send. He put us off for over a month and still wouldn't send us the plants we paid for. He should really give us a refund plus interest also for over a month.
NO WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
