Fred Beans Driven to quit by work place harassment

I have been working at Fred Beans Dodge for about 8 years when a new service manager was hired. The managers name was John Thompson, it wasn`t long before he started trying to get people to quit, so he could replaced them with his own people. After he got rid of two of my coworkers, it was my turn. One day he called me into his office and stated you can sign one of two papers, your exit review or a written warning. He stated that I am not doing my check out sheets and not selling enough work to the customers. He also offered to help me find another job, I asked him if he is trying to get rid of me and he said yes, when asking why, he said because I remind him of someone he does not like. After that meeting I was written up for anything possible, that is usually what they do to try to fire you, due to company policy.I lasted about another year under them conditions until I reached my limit and quit . Due to lack of trust and uncertainty I did not give two weeks notice.Since I did not give two weeks notice they did not pay my vacation, which was scheduled for the following week.So after ten years of faithful service with Fred Beans, I was harassed mentally to point where I quit one week short of my vacation for which they decided not to pay me for the two weeks I was entitled.

Fred Beans Theft by deception

Fred bean told my daugter she needed new rear brake rotors. I took the car to another auto repair shop and they were shocked that they tried to sell her rotors. They told me the rotors were well over the minimum thickness, not scored or warped. Fred Beans also told her she would need new light bulbs for the signals and brakes although they were woking fine. There were also a couple of other things they listed that she didn't need. WTF! Talk about blatant theft. I am going to go after them every which way I can, including a private criminal complant for attempted theft by deception. LOOK OUT FRED BEANS!

My car was taken to Fred Beans Collision Center to replace two door skins that were damaged in an accident. Before taking the car in, it was examined by another repair shop and by my husband (who has body work experience) who was able to take apart the door and examine the interior for damage. After beginning work on my doors, we got a call from the shop telling us about more damage. We looked at what they showed us. The first item we were aware of before taking it to them. The second item was minor damage to the interior of the door which my husband had examined the evening we delivered the car. The damage was not there at that time and the other body shop did not see it either. When speaking to the manager about the damage, he immediately said it was caused by the collision without even bothering to look at it. He claimed there was rust that wasn't there and that it was somehow possible to scrape the paint from the inside of the door. His attitude was totally dismissive of our complaint that the extra damage occurred after the car was in their possession.

Agree completely. Their tactics are deceptive at best.

Fred Beans Hyundai did the same thing to me. They told me that two of my rotors failed inspection and needed to be replaced. I specifically asked them if the rotors were close to failing or so worn that they actually failed. They told me that the rotors were under specifications. On that basis I agreed to have them replaced. When I picked the car up I learned that the rotors actually passed inspection but they replaced them anyway. When I addressed this with the service manager. Steve Z.. he told me that the technician had to determine if the rotors would wear out in the next year. Unfortunately, this is not true. I checked with PennDot and they told me that inspection is based upon the condition of the parts on that day. Based on this experience my opinion is that this shop behaves in an unscrupulous way that takes advantage of its customers. I will never use this repair facility again and I would advise others not to do so either.
