Consumer Advance Credit unauthorized taking of money

I came back home after the holiday's only to find that my checking account was in arreage. Two che cks had been cashed that I knew nothing of. The first che ck comming from a Consumer Advance Credit for $69.95 & the other check comming from (I found out) their affiliate, UniGuard Membership. Both of which I had no knowledge of and which, therefore the bank ending up charging me $70.00 for NSF. I have both written & tried calling these people to demand they refund the money back into the account. If you call Consumer Credit, on the phone, it will say they will call you back when the next available helper can get to you. The other place, will not even accept a call from a pay payphone. My suggestion to you is, pleas call them constantly & write them almost to harrassment. These xcompanies need to be taken down!

Consumer Advance Credit unauthorized withdrawal

A few fays ago, I applied for a payday loan, online.
Through some kind of phishing scam, this company
debited my checking acct. for $69.95, which I discovered the next day.
I immediately called this company, and was advised that the fee is for "membership" in their club.
I advised them I never authorized this charge, and they agreed reluctantly to "cancel" my "membership" - and further said that they would send me a refund check...within 2-3 weeks!
I called the fraud dept. at my bank, Bank of America, who is very familiar with this group, and they immediately reversed the $69.95 charge.
I've also filed a police report with my local sheriff.

I want to caution ANYONE to not deal with this organization.
If victimized by these people, call your local police,
and file a complaint with the Federal trade commission.
Their address, 8550 W. Desert Inn #102 Las Vegas, NV 89117, is a UPS store!

It looks like the e-mails to their bank hit a nerve - I got a phone call from Plaza Bank last week that they would expedite any refund due, and are in the process of shutting down this illegal operation.
I don't see many new complaints on any of the internet sites, so I'm assuming that their days are numbered.
I'd love to be a fly on the wal when their little telemarketing people
suddenly realize that they aren't getting paid anymore because all the $$$ is frozen.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer group.

irritated and irate:

Make sure that you fax these crooks (centralized customer service) at [protected]
and put them on legal notice.
Also, I'm glad to hear that you're sending e-mails to the bank.

#[protected] is actually the routing number for plaza bank that these stolen funds are being channel through. Stinky stuff.

I looked into their "remote deposit" practice, the thieves can scan "created checks"
from anywhere...24 hrs. 7 days a week!

Here's direct verbage from the bank's website about this "specialty service"

Remote Deposit

Streamline your business deposit process and eliminate trips to the bank with Plaza Bank’s Remote Deposit. With Remote Deposit there’s no need to drive to the bank to deposit your checks or call our courier; you will save time and speed up access to your funds. Simply “zap” your collected receivables directly into your account right from your office 24 hours a day, seven days a week using a bank-supplied check-scanner. Plaza Bank’s Remote Deposit is available to qualified customers.

Let the bank know what you think of this!

It's quite a racket these guys have going.
Make sure when you call them tomorrow you tell them to cancel ALL your "memberships"
- otherwise they'll almost certainly do this again.

Everyone,

The last unauthorized check that hit my acct. showed their bank acct. info. on the bank.
I'm sure these people must be getting hit hard with the fees associated with all these reversals. Couldn't happen to a nicer group...
Okay, so here's the acct info for these idiots:

Plaza Bank
acct # [protected]
19900 Macarthur Blvd. # 190
Irvine, CA 92612
[protected]

Not surprisingly, this bank specializes in "remote deposits". Interesting.
I think that they need to get a few e-mails and phone calls from all the victims of their banking customer who's committing internet fraud.
Make some noise.

Here's some key people at Plaza Bank to contact:

President - Gene Galloway
[protected]
email: ggalloway@plazabank.net

Senior V.P. - Lissette Duran
[protected]
email: lduran@plazabank.net

V.P. Relationship mgr - Joseph Mendez
[protected]
email: jmendez@plazabank.net

V.P. Operations - Theresa Sanchez
[protected]
email: tsanchez@plazabank.net

I would highly recommend an e-mail to all of thse people describing your personal experience with their commercial customer, Centralized Customer service.
Let them know that you've filed complaints with the F.B.I. for their deceptive business practices. You know what they say about the squeaky wheel.

Good luck!

Victrola, you need to call their number - [protected], DEMAND that they cancel not just this one fraudulent "membership" charge, but all of their so-called "memberships"
with all their affiliates - otherwise they'll keep doing this to you.
And contact your local police dept. and file a crime report.

And fax them a letter, stating:

Any further use of your bank account or any other of your personal information by Centralized Customer Service, at 8500 W. Desert Inn #102 Las Vegas NV 89117, and any and all of it's affiliate and third party associations will constitute fraud and will be reported to law enforcement.

Their fax number is [protected] - make sure you keep a copy of the fax transmital form as your proof that you put them on notice.

SAboyd, I'm sorry to hear that these guys got you too.
My bank got hit again this morning for $19.95 - this time for a "Unigard" membership.
These guys operate under the umbrella group Centralized customer service.
Unigard, Consumer advance credit are among many of their"affiliate companies"
- and each one can debit your account, if you "supposedly" verbally authorized this.
What you need to do right now is, call them at [protected], and tell them to cancel ALL your so called "memberships" with ALL their affiliate companies. Ask for an e-mail confirmation.
If you don't specifically ask for this, who knows how long this can go on for.
Also, send a certified letter immediately if you can, advising that any further use of your bank account or any other of your personal information by Centralized Customer Service, at 8500 W. Desert Inn #102 Las Vegas NV 89117, and any and all of it's affiliate and third party associations will constitute fraud and will be reported to law enforcement.
Make sure to provide your telephone number on the letter (i think that's how they identify you.)
Even though their addres is a U.P.S. store, there will be someone their who will sign for your letter, as their agent.

Good luck!

Another thought:

I live in CA, and an out of state business that does conduct business here needs to be registered with the state board of equalization, and needs to collect and pay sales tax.
I would assume most states have the same law.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if these idiots aren't paying taxes as they should be.
Perhaps a phone call to your state tax agency to report them would be nice.

Here's a link that discusses California's specific law regarding this:

http://www.boe.ca.gov/pdf/pub77.pdf

Official complaints to as many officials as possible may be the only way to stop these guys. At least we can bury them in a sea of required responses.

It's really important that you make a lot of noise about this.
Local law enforcement, the BBB - and here's an important one - the FBI and Dept of Justice have a website to report internet crimes like this.
It's critical that everybody victimized by these thieves let the govt. know.

Here's a link to report to the federal govt:

Last week I went online to see about payday loans. Went through all the motions and at the end decided NOT to proceed because they were soliciting other companies and they wanted you to choose two. I logged out and then a few days later there was a withdrawal from them for $69.95. There never was any indication that this fee was to be taken out from my checking account if I was filling out information to be considered for a loan!

This has never happened to me before and will be contacting them and my bank about this scam!

Applied for a payday loan and specifically answered no to any inquiry for assistance in finding payday loans. When checking account balance, found this company had taken 69.95 from my checking account and there was a message on their phone that says you can contact them 9-430 ET. I doubt that they will answer the phone but will make a formal complaint to Federal Trade Commission against the bogus agency.

A few days ago i applied for a cash advance and the company took money out of my checking account without my authorization. I keep calling the toll free number and keep getting a recording. I think it is a scam, but come Monday I will be at my bank to dispute the charges so I hope they see this report. I am also contacting the BBB to file a complaint. Where is the money that this company promised to get me?

I checked my bank account on the 29th of December2009, to my amazement my account was overdrawn
by $105.97.I noticed that there was a check for the amount of $69.95 on Christmas Eve.I went to my bank
(First National Bank Texas)They said they could not do anything, but to summit a dispute, also they would not
refund my overdraft fee of $34.97.I called the phone number on the electronic check([protected])
I spoke to someone with cssupport. They cancelled my membership and said I could get a partial refund
unless I wanted to wait for a "welcome packet" in Ten days.
I'll be dang.I checked my checking again on my payday the 30th of December2009.There was another
electronic check dated the 29th of December. This would of bounced but I made a deposit a few days earlier.
Again my bank would not help me.I called cssupport, they said Uniguard Membership withdrew $19.95
per my membership.I told them to cancell everything related to this company. They said they would issue a
refund on the 20th of January.
Evertime I call There is a differant response.I hace yet to receive any of my money.Oh! they issued Two
more of those "welcome packets"Thanks for the advise above.

I totally agree! this company tried taking $69.95 from my acct too and didnt succeed. well they got my a NSF which really sucks. This isnt the way I wanted to start off my new yr but I didnt learn my lesson! no more online payday loans! a few PAYDAY LOANS I know WORKS is: PAYDAYONE.COM, just make sure your remember what you filled out on the ap because they ask you what you make a month and your acct # you put on the ap...Also, SPEEDYCASH.COM works but only if you have a checking acct # with a major bank, not prepaid debit cards. ONECLICKCASH.COM & CHECKNGO.COM. checkngo.com is really easy to get online...some advice ill give to you is file a complaint with your bank about this company they will help you get your $ back and/or catch these people doing fraud...
