Lien release
I paid off the vehicle on August 26, 2022. The state of Maryland requires the lien release to be submitted with in 5 business days of receiving full payment. Which means the lien release should have been sent by September 1, 2022. I have made several attempts to contact BMW Financial Services but they are refusing to provide this lien release...

On 03/29/21, I purchased a 2020 MINI from MINI South Motors in Miami. I have excellent credit and MINI Financing agreed to finance my purchase. I dealt with Fanny Alfaro in the Finance Department of South Motors.
Fanny told me there was some trouble getting approval because I had a 2007 bankruptcy that involved repossession of a BMW car. But because my credit score is so high it didn't matter. She told me I could set up online payments in about a week.
MINI calls its online site the "Owners Club" to make it sound exclusive. When I tried to register I was denied access because of my 2007 bankruptcy (which by law is no longer on my credit report - BMW just knows about it because they were an affected creditor). Instead, I have to receive paper statements and make payments by check sent through the mail. Since there is no rational reason for this, I can only assume it is part of some retaliation on BMW's part. Being denied access to the "Owners Club" was not only offensive, but it is also illegal In addition to being really stupid.
I spoke to several reps on the phone, one of whom was quite haughty ("well you DID once file for bankruptcy") and another who said it was a matter of "bankruptcy law." I'm a lawyer so I knew that was nonsense but finally, I got one rep to walk over and ask the bankruptcy "department" (such that it is - they're located in a small town in Ohio). They claim it is all due to a "glitch" that they have no idea if and when it will be fixed.
I'm told that until then, I have to make payments to this financing company through the mail by check. I don't own any checks and I can't remember where the post office is.
But when they sent my first account statement, they invited me to sign up for the "convenience" of online payments. See attached photo.
So this world-class company (MINI is part of BMW) is punishing me for a 14-year-old bankruptcy by forcing me to make payments to them in the most arduous way possible - but it's really just a glitch they don't know how to fix. This is deceitful (I was told I could make payments online), offensive, and stupid. I will continue to escalate this matter on social media and, if necessary, by resort to judicial action.
And remember, all I'm asking for is to make payments and monitor my account online - just like all your other customers who have been allowed to join the "Owners Club".
Desired outcome: Being allowed to make online payments and access my account online
