Cost of an ambulance ride
I have no issues with the ambulance service with AMR. It bothers me that the cost of an ambulance ride's base rate is $2,860.98 and mileage cost for literally a 2-minute ride from Highland Hospital to Strong Memorial Hospital. My daughter needed to be treated at Golisano, so they transported her there. I believe the base rate for ambulance rides should be...

My husband was in three different hospitals and three different physical rehab centers. Every time he needed to be moved, we were assured that the cost was covered by Kaiser. The hospital or rehab would order transportation by AMR and we would end up being billed by you. The doctors ordering the transport and the doctors receiving him both denied responsibility for the charges. My husband died in Hospice [protected] after being transported there by AMR. We keep getting bill after bill after bill. My income is $570 a month from Social Security. My husband's Social Security has stopped and I was told there are no more payments to us. The bills just keep coming. Today is another bill for $400. I cannot pay this and still have a $200 bill we owe you. The bills should be paid by whomever ordered you to move my husband and who assured me there would be no charge to us.

My name is Sandra Glessner, my mother has heart disease, kidney disease and type 2 diabetes, and about an hour ago she was taken by one of your ambulances to the hospital (I don't even know which hospital, because when we requested they take her to legacy, they said "No") so now I'll have to call around to find out. From the moment they entered our...

I feel some of the runs are fake and unneeded. The loud sirens are annoying and disruptive. I have kept a log of runs on a daily basis, and if reviewed at least will reveal the name of individual(s) on call during that time. Thank you.

discrimination at amr
I was fired in 2006? For being white! No joke! I was told flat out not 1 since white girl has lasted in billing- so, why put me there?
I applied for the EMT class and was just turned away! Bc my boyfriend is a paramedic there! Or bc I'm over educated and white! This place is [censored] and they discriminate! Sorry I already have a nursing background and am over qualified! Try hiring people who actually care instead of trash & you might have people last! I hope my boyfriend quits this [censored]hole
