Restoration Company review: Rip off

Restoration company called to my house by the plumber on December 26, 2021 after a water pipe bursted. This was my first such incident but I was assurred by the plumber that their restoration company would take care of everything for me. Immediately, they came into my home, knocking out walls, tearing up carpet, pulling up tile, throwing flat screen tv, jewelry box and everything on the bed and telling me not to worry, the insurance company would pay for everything. They called the insurance company for me, which I later learned was my mistake not to call them myself. After waiting two months, the insurance company sent me a check but up to that point, I had not heard from anyone about fixing or replacing the damages in my home. When the check arrived, I immediately found someone to repair the 6' hole in my wall and then the Restoration company called and said the insurance company had sent me a check that belongs to them. I told them they said they would repair my house and I never heard anything from them until I got the check which was two months after they wrecked my house. Now they call me today, about 5 months later, asking me to send the check or they will send this bill to collection. They left my house in such a torn up state that I feel they should reimburse me for the length of time I had no use of my bedroom or bathroom. I have pictures of all the mess they left and not contact me for two months about repairing anything. This was so traumatizing for me being an elderly person that I didn't know what to do except wait until someone come or call about repairing things. This condition was endured for more than two months. The vanity from the bathroom was torn out, unnecessarily and now I realize these things were torn out/up so they could get more money from the insurance company but it did not happen and I was left with a torn up house and a small check from the insurance company.
