Restaurant Red Lion Tavern, Silver Lake CA review: Complaint

I went to this restaurant on May 3rd, 2021

Red Lion Tavern

2366 Glendale Blvd

Los Angeles, CA 90039

My check was $76.32 for two people

I left the tip in cash $15.00. Crossed the tip line on the receipt and totalled it for the $76.32

I did not keep a copy of the receipt.

A pending charge shows on CC statement for the $76.32 the next day

Two days later my credit card statement shows an authorized transaction for $89.32

That's $13.00 more than I authorized and made for a $28.00 tip I did not intend to leave.

Basically, Red Lion Tavern in Silver Lake California, Los Angeles STOLE money from me.

When I called to complain they could not find the charge. Eventually they found it and confirmed the $76.32 amount and that I had crossed the tip line. Then they said they could not reimburse my card and to go through my bank to dispute the transaction.

I will NEVER go back to that place and I will make sure to warn everyone I know not to step foot into a place where they blatantly steal your money, recognize it and do absolutely nothing about it.
