On 11/30/11, my wife purchased a Relic watch for me at a price of $52.50. I returned the watch to Kohl's on 12/31/2011 and a "Trans Disc" was applied in the amount of $10.51 subtracted from the amount of $52.50. The amount that was returned to me was $41.99 and $3.82 added for sales tax with a total amount returned and credited to my Kohl's credit card in the amount of $45.81. The Kohl's Associate did not explain to me that there would be a "Trans Disc" and reduced the amount of the sale price. I feel that the Kohl's associate should have asked me if I would like to return the watch or keep it and if so, the amount returned would be less than the sale price paid.
No, I did not inquire as to what a "trans disc" was.
She used a coupon to make the purchase. Ask her :) transaction discount.
You got back exactly what she paid for it - there was some type of coupon applied - most likely a percent off due to her using her Kohl's Charge. Do the math and you'll see!
