I purchased a diamond heart necklace from RealReal in February 2020
value was estimated at $2180.00, I paid $ 725.00 when I purchased it.
I decided to send it to the Real Real to reconsign in June 2022
I was advised that they were not accepting the necklace because it was
synthetic diamonds! I called and stated that it was sold to me as real and I had the valuation report that they had provided when they sold the necklace to me.
I was advised they would look at it again. Next I hear they have accepted the necklace and will put up for sale.
I have checked several times and it kept saying coming soon. I checked yesterday and was the same "coming soon"
Today I get a notice that it was sold! I called and asked to see a picture of the necklace and description of it. I was advised the necklace was sold and that they did not have a picture of it.
I then went on the computer to speak with a virtual member of Real Real who transfered me to a real person. I was advised the necklace had been LOST
Real Real was buying it from me, taking their comission out and at a 20% discount . I advised them the prie of about $ 300. was much to low and I wanted my purchase price back of $ 725. as obviously the diamonds were not
real and they are covering up . The refuse to give me full compensation and
say the necklace is lost.
Desired outcome: I want the original purchase price of $ 725. refunded to me. Obviously the necklace was not genuine.
Website states there will be 14 days from shipment to place a return request, but items frequently take more than a week to ship and the company considers this part of the return window. 14 days to return is not accurate
