RBC Bank does not care about it's customers! I have called two days in a row to report FRAUDULENT activity on my business checking account and they have REFUSED to assist me in any way without my FEIN number. Which I don't travel with and I am out of town for 5 days. I am told that I can go into my local branch when I return to file fraudulent forms to be pursued. So in the meantime, TWO MORE TRANSACTIONS HAVE BEEN POSTED TO MY ACCOUNT FOR OVER $200 EACH! RBC IS RIDICULOUS! I expressed my desire to close my accounts with them yesterday and now (surprise, surprise) I can't close it until these charges have been investigated and refunded. BEWARE OF RBC! They are thieves!

RBC USA is a completely different company to RBC Canada...and they are absolutely HORRIFIC.

I have banked with RBC Canada my entire adult life...and my experience with RBC USA is so bad that I'm furious with RBC Canada for suggesting I bank with RBC USA (they are THAT bad). Their customer service should get a 0/10. I would give it a negative score for the significant damage they have done to my mental well being. Calling them is like calling your enemy and asking for a favor. It's worse, because at least in your head you're mentally prepared if you call your enemy.

I can only advice anything vaguely considering with RBC USA...DON'T DO IT. I can assure you, it'll be the worst financial decision of your life.

somebody defrauded my RBC USA account for more than 3000, it took them fore than a month to return my money, put me through hell to deal with all the bounced checks. They opened another account and not in a month went by same thing happened again.

RBC, heartless, uncaring, treats you like a number. Even though I was diagnosed with a serious illness, could not get manager to call me to rectify a problem which occurred while I was out of state being treated at MD Anderson, although I made three requests. Definitely no customer service!

Are you American or Canadian?

If you create a class action, let me know. They are still charging me fees b/c I refuse to pay the $100 every month since I never agreed to pay it & they failed to disclose that very important information to me.

The Federal Trade Commission hasn't done anything to help, but I did learn that there are hundreds of people equally upset with how this bank treats them.

RBC Canada who's in charge of the US division doesn't care at all.

I am with the rbc bank usa and they frauded my account for over 7000 $.
1- How come i never got my rbc bank card in the mail when i opened the account and didnt receive it by the mail? When i went to the branch they said: how come you dont have it? there"s a bunch of activities in your account!

2- how come several transaction to an atm machine everyday taking out more then 500 everyday could not be suspicious to the bank? everyday ? everyday

3- i called, went to the branch several times, wrote email to corporate. ( they ended up blocking my email cause after a while the email would return to me as invalid adress) and dismissed me completely.

I m planning a big lawsuit against that ### company RBC. BEWARE they are CROOKS

I am in Canada, but I have a US presence as I'm a netrepreneur.

I've had my account with HSBC for years, but there's always been problems, so I swore that if I could ever switch, I would.

When I figured out I could get an account with RBC over there thru RBC here, I jumped at the chance. I have a list (it's still growing) of 22 problems. It's clear they don't know what they are doing over there.

To be clear, banks in Canada are NOT like this. While all banks cause problems at some point, after this experience I can honestly say our banks here are like top of the line compared to what I went through. RBC Canada is known for being top of the line which is why I thought their chain in the US would be the same.

Just some of the numerous issues.

1. Never got access code, so weeks went by & couldn't conduct business.
2. Sales takes forever to call you.
3. Need sales just to set up a savings account?
4. Girl made a mistake about the interest rate on the line of credit, so now I'm paying 3+% more than what she quoted me.
5. Bill Payment area online is not logical. It shows you the date supposedly the person gets the check, NOT the date you are creating the transaction. Didn't find this out until much later on after I lost my temper.

Office of the President didn't even know what I was talking about & didn't return my call. One of my staffers had been waiting for the money.

I have spent over a month dealing with this bank & in total I've lost almost $100 in fees b/c of switching over to RBC & now back to HSBC, plus I've been on the phone with RBC at least 2-4 times per week for at least 20-60 minutes each time. I will never be compensated for all the stress & lost time. I wrote to RBC in Canada to complain BIG TIME. While they acknowledged my first e-mail, all they did was call the same guy I've been dealing with at the US head office. When I e-mailed them screaming about the interest rate screwup, no response back. I will continue to warn others & see who oversees banks in the US.

I agree RBC Centura (USA) is the absolute worst. Beware when converting American funds to Canadian!

RBC has a main website containing a currency exchange calculator which is a worldwide standard : This is completely misleading to what you will get in your local branch.
RBC claims to have no hidden fees, yet when converting American to Canadian funds at the local branch, they tack on additional fees on top of the regular service charges, totaling to more than a percent in their favor.

...Beware RBC!
