I visited the 7-Eleven store in Changi Business Park Crescent (Singapore) on 14th Nov 2011, I purchased a candy named “RAGOLD’s Naturals” which had an expiry date of 23-09-2010! I visited the store again on 16th Nov to show the expired candy & the staff did not say much except that they don’t know about it. I picked couple of more candies from the store & showed them & the candies had the same Sep 2010 expiry. This is not acceptable that the country like Singapore where high quality measures & standards are followed can have stores which sell products which have expired an year ago. The manager (Lorliene) of the store was not around at the store & I took her contact number from the staff & spoke to her, all she had to say was Sorry. What is the explanation to this? Attached is the picture, pink candy is what I had purchased on 14th Nov & green candy was on the shelf on 16th Nov. Would appreciate if this matter is looked into with high priority. Are there any inspections ever done to ensure the expired products do not exist on the shelves?
