PWR Towing and recovery service LLC of Virginia, and based out of Herndon, VA, was contacted by our insurance company for vehicle tow. Our teen daughter was stranded. PWR accepted the call out and said they would take approximately two hours and gave the initial location of the tow truck that was 15 miles away. After three hours of their location bouncing all over the map, they canceled the tow. Our insurance had to call out another tow company. I believe with the fleet they have, they could have easily made the pickup in two hours.
Worse than imaginable. Apparently contacted thru my insurance company's roadside assistance, this company showed up to tow my car with an engine issue just 3 miles away.
Driver insisted the ONLY way to tow my rear wheel drive car was for him drive it up onto his steep ramp. My 1st issue was that my car had an engine issue and was smoking when I turned it on so I did NOT want him to drive it at all but left with no choice, I agreed.
I thought he'd do the job well since this was the way he INSISTED on towing my car but nope. He got into my car and promptly drove it into the side of his ramp crunching my bumper and ripping the fiberglass. Nice. He didn't apologize, didn't tow my car, and I ended up having to wait another 2 hours for a different company who KNOWS HOW TO TOW CARS. I got it all on video which he said hurt his feelings (WTF?) so this complete [censored] company will be buying me a brand new shiny bumper. That being said, it's a massive additional headache that I didn't need to deal with. All caused by this company not taking any care or time to do the job right. Bottom line - they are piss poor.
This company is TRASH. I spoke to the rudest guy answering their phone. He argued with me about their inability to meet the demands. Instead of declining the request, they accepted it without regard for the stranded person who has to suffer for 3 plus hours waiting for the tow truck to arrive. By the way, the tow truck never arrived. I called my insurance company to request another. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY 🗑️.
PWR definitely needs a reality check they have no morals or respect for people time and safety. After 3 hours they never contact me or ever showed up. I had to request another service who showed up in 25 mins and was highly professional.
This garbage company needs to go defunct. Absolutely terrible customer service and had me waiting 4 hours for a tow and every single time i would ask how long it would take its an hour… even after 3 hours… its still an hour. How terrible and disorganized of a company can you possibly be?
PWR are scam, I was left for five hours in the freezing clod and their dispatch is rude and liar. He hung up on me and saying we arent serving you after leaving me five hours in the street .. never use their service
We had a similar issue. I would not recommend PWR Towing if you need assistance in a hurry.
