Protect your home has very aggressive selling practices. I finally asked the tech to leave my property. Calling Protect your home to get a quote I was very clear I would be interested in a bid and consultation but NOT an installation. They called the day before the tech arrived said my "installation" was scheduled for the following day. I called back and clarified I was ONLY interested in consultation. The tech arrived and said he was here for an installation. I told him I was explicit in all my interactions that this would only be a bid. He checked with his manager and said he would do the consultation and explained I wouldn't get their discounts unless I installed today. His manager called 30 minutes later and I had to yell NO INSTALL period. The tech then one more time asked a couple minutes later, what if I give you a 20% discount. It was absolutely ridiculous and I had to tell him to leave my property. Their prices were also dramatically higher than a competitor so installing would have been a waste of money. The technician had the gall at the end to close our conversation with, "it was very nice to meet you." Do not work with Protect your Home they are a rip off.

Protect your home is a scam. ADT not only employs college students to go door to door pushing their service at you but then employs telemarketers constantly to harass you into buying their inferior product. ADT is a hack job and a giant waste of money. Once someone tells you to leave you should leave, no more arguing.

You called a number for installs. There is no "bids" no one is going to sit around and bid for you. No matter how great you think you are. When you call in, they tell you, the will send someone out to do an install. You called a sales department, wasted their time on the phone when they could be talking to someone who wants to get installed. As they get paid by install, you wasted their time and money. You had someone come out to do an install, who wasted time, gas and money as they do not get paid either now. (pushy? try doing their job, while you cost them money)
So how does it feel to steal time and money from people, then point a finger at them?
As for a "bid" well Zero cost on the equpment, and $99 for the install, doesn't get much cheaper, it's printed in the ads, and told to you over the phone. You have to ignore a lot of things in order to miss that.
