I purchased a Dyson DC29 vacuum cleaner in Jan 2010. It is still under a 2 year warranty. One of the attachment tools has a brush head which has softened so much that the cleaner sucks the bristles into the attachment making the tool impossible to use. I rarely use the attachment so the fault is not one of excessive wear but poor materials. I asked Dyson to replace the tool under the warranty. Their response was to say that the bristles are supposed to be soft and that I should use a lower suction option to reduce this effect. Brilliant - pay a fortune for a cleaner so powerful you can't use it on full power. Might as well buy an ordinary vac then? The brush functioned properly when I bought the vacuum; it does not function now. The attachment is still under warranty and I believe it should be replaced but Dyson say I can purchase another but will not replace the part.
Their "Help" line were smug and unhelpful... so no help there.
