I had exactly the same experience... I handed over thousands of dollars because they assured me that if they did not have someone within their membership that matched my requirements, they would search OUTSIDE their membership. I live in Los Angeles... there are literally thousands of men within 10 miles of me, but Elite couldn't find anyone closer than 40 miles! Of course they never looked outside their membership, even though that's what I paid for! I have sent them 2 letters requesting a refund since they did not fulfill their side of the contract... so far, I have received no refund!
Not only did this company not perform as they promised (they said they had LOTS of men exactly like I was looking for), but when I began to complain on line, they tried to get me to stop my online complaints by offering me a "lifetime" membership. I did stop my complaints while they attempted to match with men that they had promised me they had in their database (which I learned, btw is NOT what they say it is!)... They had even promised that if they didn't have someone in their database that was right for me, they would search OUTSIDE their company ... like they would troll for single men in public (that's when I should have realized they would say anything to get my $5000!). I went on several more dates, all of the men were either too old for me or simply not interested in the same things I am (seriously, how difficult is it to find a man interested in travel, art and FUN!?)... anyway, I went back to complaining, and they sent me the official "you are cut off" letter. So I suggest you run away!
